After FOUR seperate calls to Disney Reservations trying to apply a discount code.

We are staying WL the alst week of January. I called mid-day on the day the codes came out and was disheartened to discover that it was not available for the dates/resort I wanted. Then someone posted on the discount thread that "Disney was having problems" so I hoped the problem included me and tried again. Nada! The next day -- a glutton for punishment -- I tried one last time. During that last call I was frustrated with the CM: they didn't speak English very well; they kept putting me on hold for long periods of time and sounded horribly confused about everything I asked. I considered switching resorts to get a code for about a nanosecond but abandonned that idea because I couldn't bear to deal with this particular CM any longer and in the end I really wanted WL. :sad2:

So today I misread something on the January Code Watch thread and called to try to apply what I thought was a new code (in actual fact its just the Disney Visa code). Two seconds into the call with a very friendly CM, I realized the mistake I had made and asked that he check for the Canadian code one last time for me. Ummm ya - the code is sold out for WL woods view but is available for WL - courtyard view. Do I mind upgrading if it means saving some money and getting some perks (like Waterparks) that I didn't orignally have. I told him I didn't care if it meant I was stuck looking at a brick wall. Seriously I don't. :woohoo:

So I saved $163. Not a fortune but if I found it lying in the street would I leave it there? Of course not.

He also told me (in a read between the lines kind of way) to try back tomorrow because the general codes will be released then and while I might not get a better deal it wouldn't hurt to try (if I can find a deal on a Woods view I'll save even more).

I'm so pleased right now over my $163. I kid you not - just as happy as those who have saved thousands. :rotfl: :cloud9:

Sometimes it is not the amount but the fact you got to use that code.:woohoo: Hey 163 bucks buys a nice meal nothing to shake a stick at!

Where are these codes posted? Can you just call up and ask if there are any new codes for Canadians? We are going to WL Dec 16-22 2007. Would love to get some kind of discount!

I got the Canadian Code by email, but it apparently is only good for Travel Jan1-Mar 15 and booking OCt 18-Dec 15

We are going Dec 8-16.

O well at least I know I am on a list.

Been to Disney many many times in the past but never booked through this Dreams Umlimited. The rate they quoted seems pretty fair to me. Includes this park hopper/water parks upgrade. (although will we be using the outdoor pool in January?) We were there in Feb in 2000 and it was cool.

Anyway......I see all these posts about CODES. If I get a quote from Dreams Unlimited do you think it is safe to say they are giving me the best available discount/CODE ?? Anyone book with them that can give me any feedback?

We are planning for January 2008 (Carribean) and have a reservation on hold!

Advice/comments please.

We were happy with DU. We booked with Rhonda. They are on top of things and will apply any codes that will work for your dates for you:thumbsup2

The things with codes though is that they sell out. Don't wait too long.
