Leaving tomorrow and I'm not gonna lie, the weather forecast on the News13 app has me a bit concerned.

I get that Florida gets storms in the summer, but the last time we were there it was 4 days of straight rain am>pm.

Is is gonna be the same, or short afternoon showers, or something in between?

Someone brighten my cloud :)

I was there last week for 9 days....weather called for thunderstorms every day....it rained for an hour on only one day.....hot as Africa

It's been beyond hot this past month. Forecast has been 30% chance of rain every day but it has not rained (at least not in my house) for the past 5. Believe me you want that rain to come. For this week it says 40%, it'll probably be the typical afternoon showers. The best way to have a better idea is, every morning, check the hour by hour. No point in looking at it now

I know...I know, but last vacation was such a wash out, I can't help it. I know some people like WDW in the rain, but it aint my cup of tea. lol.

60%+ of precipitation forecast has me :scared::scared:

I know i can't do anything about it, but its had not to not think about it.

That is a rare event, indeed. So rare, in fact, that I've never seen anything like it in my nearly a decade of living here! I have only experienced all day rain once or twice since I've lived here, and it was during a hurricane or tropical storm.

We've been having the usual quick little Florida storms every day lately. For the most part, done and over within 20 -30 minutes. The rest of the day is sunny, although hot and humid. No big storms on the horizon, that I'm aware of, so should be more of the same while you are there. Nothing to worry about.

lol...I joke with everyone about animal kingdom, that the imagineers are so good at theming, that they recreated the Africa climate there as well.

That used to freak me out when I first moved here. Now, I pay no attention to it, as I know what it really means. For the most part, our entire summers look like that on the weather site. I go to the beach, camping, etc. and completely ignore it. Up north, it meant we were going to get rained out. Down here, it means you may be inside a store for ten minutes, and come out to find that during that time, it has stormed and passed already. During our 3 minute shower yesterday, the sun shined as bright as ever. :sunny:

:D This is so true! The one good thing about going right now is that they are having after dark hours at AK! I have never experienced it, but thinking about going for a couple of days in September before they quit doing it. It would be nice to visit when it's not almost literally Africa.

on the WFTV app (local ABC channel) it has every day at 40%. That's when you know you can't trust forecasts

it is the one thing I'm most looking forward to....love AK b/c it is so beautiful, I can only image how amazing it looks at night. We are actually doing AK on day 1 this trip b/c i want to see it so bad.
