So how many have gotten the call to move?

I see on Mousesavers that they could be closing more of Port Orleans - Riverside. I did call Disney yesterday and they did say that they are closing the AB buildings by the mansions. Just curious if anyone has received a call to move. Mousesavers has some pretty good specials people are receiving to move. We are there June 10-17. I kind of would like to know soon if there is a chance. Do some of you call Disney to move? Just checking!!!Thanks!

Yep - got a call last thursday, got the Poly for $139/night!!!

DONT call them...let them call you! I get there on Saturday - they called just about a week before our arrival date!

I have resv. for June 6 - 9th @ the POR & 10-15th at AKL. We split our stay because of the renovation rumors & we got the $124 rate @ the AKL. Just yesterday I call CRO to make requests for building #27 in AB & a corner room @ POR. I asked several ?'s reguarding the closings & was told that renovations go on all the time & we shouldn't worry. So I'm done worrying, trying to figure out what is going to be done or what not. I know that once I leave CHGO on the 6th, I'm going to Disney World and that is all that matters!!!!

FYI: We were part of the Caribbean Beach renovation last October. If you want to upgrade to a deluxe, CALL CRO!! In our situation, the deluxe resorts "sold out" after so many ressies switched and then you were stuck. Even if you made your ressies through a travel agent or Dreams, call yourself. Get the info and then call your travel agent or Dreams. We stayed at Polynesian for a good rate, don't remember the exact $.

I had reservations at POFQ for 6/6/03 - 6/12/03. Once I heard of the closing for renovations at PO, I waited about 2 weeks for Disney CRO to contact me. Didn't happen, so I called the "relocation" hotline ( 407-939-7919) to see what was available to me. I was given the option to switch to any other moderate resort (CB, CS ) or upgrade to the WL for just $11 more a night! I had made my original reservation at POFQ off a postcard special and got the room only for $74.00 a night. Now we get to stay at WL for just $85 a night. What a deal. I have heard many people say wait and see what they offer you. I'm a planner, so waiting just doesnt sit well with me. I called and got a great upgrade, maybe you should try it too. Good Luck!

dizkidz - yes we had a King bed room, but I was told that half the POR was going to be under construction - so they moved my parents as well who were booked in a regular room...

Even if you made your ressies through a travel agent or Dreams, call yourself.

Just a reminder - if you did book through an agent - you can NOT make changes to your ressi yourself, only an agent from that particular agency can!!
