So how do you wash/store...

OP, if you could let us know the room number you get that would be fab. :thumbsup2 (That way we can insist that we're NOT put in that room the next time we're in WDW! Some people demand Magic Kingdom views, I just demand rooms that didn't have sh1t rags in them for a week. :rotfl2:

Forget the room number. I wanna know what resort to avoid!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

So what do you do when your out? Do you bring them along, use them and put them in a plastic bag? Or do you use the TP in public?

Every legitimate study I have read says that both cloth diapers and disposables are about equally damaging to the environment.

I would have to think that TP is much less damaging to the environment than all the bleach and detergents, energy and water used in cleaning these family cloths.

Not to mention it grosses me out. :crazy2:

Oh God. This will get great. I totally understand some of the rationale behind cloth diapers but I just can't get my head around a family cloth for anyone who is potty-trained.

I was fortunate enough to not know what one was until the DIS. Along with the Diva cup (another thing I was blissfully unaware of before the DIS) I find them to be the most disgusting ideas ever. JMO of course.

I'm trying to imagine a situation where my husband would be on a thread that would discuss the Diva cup.:confused3

It was one of the things you never heard of before the DIS threads from a while back. I though it was the most disgusting thing I had every heard of...along with a family cloth. I wouldn't really call it a discussion. Tt was mentioned, I never heard of it, I Googled, I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I'm sure a lot of people on this thread didn't think they would ever be on a thread involving a family cloth but there you go. It's the DIS, most threads start as one thing and switch to something else. It goes from washing clothes to washing cloths.

I like to think I"m pretty green. I use reusable bags at the store, I recycle, etc. but sweet Mary, I'm not ready for this level of green-ness.
:thumbsup2 Same! :rotfl2:

Ditto! :thumbsup2

Ahhh! That is really gross! I don't care how "green" it is.

This one was a trick!! A dirty, stinky trick by that little stinky poo, tink_n_pooh. One that I am still hoping was in complete jest?? It's pretty funny if it was a play on her user name .

True, that was kind of crappy of the OP (dodges pie).

Please, for the love of God, NOBODY start a "Family Cloth Share" thread! Fridges and strollers are one thing...:sad2:

Wash in sink, drape over balcony. In a hurry drape over fan and turn on.:thumbsup2

LOL, I have to believe that Tink 'n Pooh was just joking around, because I mean...really? Either way, thanks for the laughs!:rotfl2:

I'm all for being green, but I fail to see how this practice is all that 'green' to begin with. So you use all that water and electricity to machine wash your poo rags every few days. Isn't toilet paper biodegradable? This just seems like one of those instances where it's SOOOO NOT WORTH IT.

Oh my goodness, doesn't seem like a very sanitary practice to me.

And it's just another reason to NOT use public washers/dryers...you never know what has been in them. Ick!

LOL--that is why I have a real issue the few times I have been forced to go to a laundromat and use a public washer--I think of the person before me and :scared1::sick:

.

She may have been joking around but there are people that actually do that!!!!
