Coping with The Writer Guild of America strike?
Yeah, I know that it's kind of lame to be upset over a tv show, but some people need that one day a week to get through sometimes...
So, is your show being cancelled for the rest of it's season because of this strike?

Star Trek stopped filming long ago enough that I don't have to worry about not having new episodes, but I'm nervous about the writers being unable to tweak the script of the new movie. I dunno how or if that'll affect the final product, but it's always a possiblity.

It's ridiculous that the people who CREATE THE STORIES get paid so much less than the actors, directors, producers, etc.

I mean, they MAKE the stories.
They're the entire reason the shows exist.
It's all just kinda ridiculous, the fact that they need to strike just for people to realize how ludicrous the business is.

No, it won't affect me, I don't really watch those shows. But I'm so sorry to the people who do! That must be awful! It stinks when you look forward to a show every week, and it won't be there

I'm trying to cope with this strike they're having on Broadway right now. Only eight shows are open, and my mom's friends and their kids were coming to NY from California just to see shows. And those eight that are open weren't any they got tickets to. We were even going to meet them in the city for one of them. So that sucks. They had been planning for a year, and now in one day, we have to think of a whole new plan.

Sorry to kinda threadjack...but that's the strike I'm dealing with
