Just so you all know, the deadline this year is April 17 since the 15th is a Saturday. Two extra days for procrastinators or those that owe and want to wait to pay! :goodvibes

We actually have until the 18th in New England because the processing center is closed for Patriot's Day! :woohoo:

DH and I each have our own small businesses, plus I have a salaried job. We spent mucho hours this weekend added up all our invoices and expenses (yes, we KNOW we should do this at least quarterly :teeth: ), with much wailing and gnashing of teeth :sunny: , and brought everything to the accountant yesterday--he'll do the actual calculating of taxes and completing the forms.

Waiting with bated breath to see how much we owe!! DH paid his quarterlies and I have lots extra withheld from my paycheck every two weeks, but we made more money this year than last year so we'll most likely owe something. Can't complain about making more money though!

Nope, dh just talked to a new accountant today who found some new deductions for us and he made an appointment to take our stuff to him on Monday. We owed last year, will probably owe this year. No need to rush! Plus, we just moved and I just got youngest DS's SSN in the mail a few weeks ago (can't file without that!).

Some tax facts to ponder:

The Office of Management and Budget estimates Americans will spend 6.4 billion hours and $265 billion this year alone complying with the obligations of a tax code that now contains more than 66,000 pages of rules and regulations. More than 6 in 10 Americans now hire someone to help prepare their returns every year.

What a waste!

No way. We mail it on the last possible day. We can use all the interest we can get.

We filed a while ago. Already have our return that we will be spending At Disney. :teeth:

no way we have to pay way over $4000.00 this year we are waiting until the very last min. lol

Yea! We always file right away b/c we usually get a nice refund back. Already have our return. :)
