I got interested in pins & buttons years ago just to have something relaxing and inexpensive to do while collecting the "serious" stuff. They were pritty, and you could meet interesting people discussing and trading them. (Important to shy people.)

The figuriens and stuff havent raally stopped, but I am running out of room!

Nat - what kind of buttons are you looking for? Most of my traders are boxed, awaiting the move, but I do have some I can get my hands on. They are nove, and becoming harder to get.

Sure has here! I would only buy a souvenier here and there on a trip and perhaps a Disney Animated Feature I REALLY liked. But this pin addicti.......err HOBBY has made me love and appreciate Disney more than I ever have!

It has progressed to include Animal Kingdom stuffs--carved wood giraffe figurines, carved wood animal walking sticks.

and I do have a collection of buttons now that I never had.....and CM items.......and snowglobes and mugs and framed art and.........oh my the list goes on!!!!!!

I see Disney EVERYWHERE I look!
And now have doo dads and snowglobes and general Disney clutter.
I even collected those darn magical washcloths for awhile. Then they came out with too many and I stopped!

For me it's actually been the opposite. Pins came after I started collecting everything else! Although pins have lead me to collect bouncies!

Expanding to Snowglobes.....just bought my first one. Oh, and books too....just bought two books. *sigh* I have a feeling this is JUST the beginning...LOL.

Disney books, magazines and paper (maps, annual reports, etc..) are what I first started collecting. My husband got me hooked on the pins. As far as pins go I collect/love HM, NBC, Tinkerbell, Pluto, Imagineering, rides and hotels, and events at the parks.

I think Nat was afraid to answer this one We went from a computer room full of pins on the wall to 4 big figs, a huge curio cabinet in the living room full of Disney figurines, snowglobes, plates, coins, belljars, planters and a donald duck puppet that he just had to have and tons and tons of Disney mugs.
