Hi!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I've just had an email from Steve, and his Boss has authorised his leave for Christmas 2010!!!

I'd been trying not to get too excited at the thought of our planned Christmas trip :santa: as I knew it would all come down to whether his work would agree the leave - as no one is normally allowed any time off leading up to Christmas.

I think it came down to the fact that Steve has been there so long and never had any time off in Dec or Jan before, plus we have asked for it over two years in advance!!:lmao: - well whatever the reason - it means we get to go to WDW and spend Christmas on DCL (hopefully in the Caribbean!!!)

I am so excited!! - and it's now less than three weeks left until I know EXACTLY where the cruise will be going!! - I can't wait!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

great news! Happy Planning ! :)

Fantastic news Amy :cool1: -we made our booking in Dec 2007 for Apr 2009+Dh boss thought we were mad booking so far in advance  .x.

thanks everyone!! - now I just having to work out how I'm going to squeeze it all in to 28 days!!:rotfl:

And Michelle - YES we will be at MVMCP on Fri Dec 17th 2010!!! :rotfl2: - if you (or anyone else for that matter!!;) ) care to join us!!!

Very jealous!

I am off for xmas in Disney this year but could only manage to get 12 days over there which means I only have to have 8 days off work which they were ok with.

Cant wait but wish it was for 28 days like yours :)

Good luck with your planning :thumbsup2

Congrats Amy :goodvibes

28 days over Christmas finishing up with 6 nights at HRH - that'll be some holiday :rotfl2:

So glad it all worked out for you

thank you both!!:lovestruc

I'm now looking forward to hearing about everyone else's plans for this christmas - it will help me with my planning i'm sure!!:thumbsup2

Wow, this is brilliant news. Christmas is my favourite time of the year in Disney. On Christmas Eve we usually book for the Carol Concert and it's just magical. You are so lucky. You'll get to see the Christmas Lights at the old MGM - so magical and always brings a tear to my eyes!

One thing I would say, if you are planning to have dinner in anywhere Disney on Christmas Eve and Day then book at the 1st opening window as the best places get booked up very, very quickly.

Enjoy your planning, am so excited for you as I love this time of year.:thumbsup2

Wow - your trip sounds fantastic! Happy planning.

I am sure somewhere down the line I will be able to help you if you have any questions....our tastes seem quite similar! ;) I am staying at the HRH, WL & YC in December for 17 nights and then next September OKW, our first cruise (4nights), & the Poly for 21 nights total.

I am going to attempt a Trip report, however as we don't get back until 20th Dec and I'm sure i'll be rushing around getting last minute stuff ready for christmas I probably won't get it started until after xmas.

thanks so much for the kind message!!:lovestruc

We are (hopefully!!;) ) going to be on the Disney Cruise for actual christmas - we figured that everyone tells us how busy the parks are on xmas day and that they now keep away - I couldn't see what else we would really want to do on the day itself except be in the MK - then I found the DCl xmas posts!!! - I figure a cruise ship can only be as busy as the number of people sailing - so I'm hoping i've made the right choice!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Wow - we really do have the smae tastes!!:goodvibes

Yes please do report back on your Dec trip :yay: - are you at the WL for Xmas?? - we had never thought of staying there before, but everyone raves about it for Xmas time on the resorts board so I thought I'd try it for New Years!!

We did Discovery Cove on Christmas Day last year. It only allows 1000 guests in per day so is no busier on Christmas Day than any other day of the year. It was a christmas we'll never forget :goodvibes . We then went to Epcot in the evening (which wasn't as busy as I thought it would be) to round the day off with illuminations.
We were looking at cruising on Christmas Day next year but was just too expensive so have booked for just before instead. Still not sure what we're going to do on Christmas day though.

Hi Nick!!

I bet that Discovery Cove was fantastic on Christmas Day!! :santa: If our children had been a little bit older I think we would have chosen to do that - but our youngest will still only be 3 so would miss out - oh well, perhaps we can do that next time!!:lmao:

We are still keeping our fingers crossed about the cruise at the moment - we will know what the itnerary will be in a couple of weeks (Oct 7th - I believe!! ) - the last time Xmas day fell on a Sat, the Magic did a special 10 night cruise which included Key West, St Lucia, Antigua and the Virgin Islands - so we are really wanting to do that one!!:cloud9: - I have to be patient but not long 'til we know for sure!!:yay:

Hi Nick!!:)

Discovery Cove on Christmas Day sounds fantastic !!:santa: - I would definitely have considered that, but unfortunately our youngest will still only be 3 yo when we go and therefore wouldn't be able to do the swim. But definitely something I would consider next time!!:lmao:

We are keeping our fingers crossed about the Disney cruise - you'll have to let me know what you think of the decorations etc on board - we are hoping for a 10 day itinerary when we go, to include Key West, Antigua, St Lucia and the virgin islands:cloud9: (this was the 2004 itinerary which they used the last time Xmas day fell on a Sat) - we should hear about the 2010 cruises on Oct 7th - so I'm waiting very patiently (or at least trying to be patient!!):rotfl:

sorry about writing to you twice :lmao: - my computer is playing up and I thought my original reply didn't go through :confused3 - so I busily sat here typing again!!:lmao:
