I'd ring the hospital and explain the situation and see if there is anything they can sort out for you. Usually they will try and be as helpful as possible.

I've just had a second surgery on my elbow yesterday, got to go to a follow up again in 4/5 weeks, luckily our trip isn't until the end of August but I was supposed to be going elsewhere in the US in June and I've had to call that off so I can understand your upset. I was pretty gutted to have to cancel my June trip!

The hospital are fully aware of the situation and are saying that this is the best they can do since the surgery is complex I need a facial nerve surgeon plus a Consultant to do this Big OP so i have to wait and see,the worst thing is the Consulatnt is the one who told me to book the holiday as we as a family had such a bad yr with this and he had put down that it was in september!!

Im still really upset with it all and have been getting sicker this wk so the doctor still stands by the fact he doesnt think ill last at home till the Op date.

It effects me more to know that my boys could miss out,Thankgod we never told them! I also really dont want to lose the £8,000 its cost
