We got here yesterday and I am so glad to be here! I have had a stressful few months at work and this is a sorely needed respite. It's good to be home. We are going at a really easy pace this week. Last night we went to Hoop de Doo for the first time in about 10 years. The ribs were great, the entertainment corny but fun. We even got the family picture! :goodvibes We are going to head out in a few minutes to AK and lunch at Yak & Yeti.

So far everything has gone really smoothly. Got the location we wanted. Made some last minute ADRs with no problem...even a CP package which I thought would be all gone!

Everything is really cleared out like many posters have said. Our cabin is one of the renovated ones. It isnt that much different but a new pillowtop mattress on the double bed is nice! Everything just looks cleaner and new.

More later!

Well, doggies, a live trip report! I love it that your requests are falling into place like that.

We asked a CM who was cleaning a cabin if we could come in and look around and we love it!

Yay!!!! We'll check in on Sunday, requesting 1500 loop. Look for our alien green Mickey (plus a frazzled redhead attached to 3 blonde girls and a nearly bald DH)~we'll look for you, too!

Sounds heavenly to me :goodvibes I hope you have a great time and keep posting about your trip...I need something to get me through the gray skies up here, lol

We're here too.... it's our first trip to the Fort. We're in the 700 loop, THE most under decorated site ON the loop.... whooo hooooo! Seriously, people here have like 10 inflatables PER SITE! Amazing.

Oh, and we've seen TWO Disers so far.... what fun that was!!

We got last minute ressies too.... and we've had little to no waits for bussses, for attractions, for restaurants, for anything. it's really been fun!

OK, off to LeCellier for supper..... ate at the restaurant in Morocco last night... Marrakesh. Did not love it. *shrug*

We're sneaking up on the fort trying not to be discovered :rotfl2: Stayed in a cul-de-sac at a friends house in Newport News night before last (free :thumbsup2 ), KOA in Florence SC ($37:scared1: ). To night and tomorrow we are the fam-camp at NAS Jacksonville ($14/night :woohoo: ) and check into FW Sun.

I was reluctant in posting to this thread because I think if Shannone hear's I'm going to the fort again she's going to either pull her hair out or what I have left of mine lol. There's availability next week and I'm thinking about grabbing Monday-Wednesday up. We got the passes so why not? Hope to see some other dis'ers. Oh, the passholder discount was around $40 in case someone wanted to know.

Well step across to the 1600 loop (that's what we requested and hopefully will get an outside site abutting the 1500 loop which is our favorite area) and look for a dark emerald green ford Van with the Va license plate in my avatar and say hello and I will even share some of my "Fruit Fly Fishing" goodies if I had time to wrangle a few. :cool1: :cool1: :lmao: I even brought the electric juicer for the Oranges so FEW OJ here we come:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm a bad bad person..... I watched the threads of folks cancelling, and they transferred their ressies to me..... we're having lunch there tomorrow too, unless the weather's completely crappy, then, we'll just make it up as we go along.

Had the cheddar cheese soup with pretzel bread.... yummy stuff.

Oh, and Debbie? I got a really cute photo of the otter playing right beside me in the boat. OK, *HE* wasn't in the boat... I was in the boat. And the otter was playing in the water. Alongside the boat. Oh heck... never mind.

We have had a great few days so far! We went over to AK for lunch at Yak & Yeti and it was good! I'll have a dining report later but it was definitely worth doing. DD didnt want to hang out at the park though so we went back to the cabin. Saturday DD and I went to MK at rope drop and stayed until closing time...midnight....16 hours straight. We rode EVERY ride (except teacups; it was closed) and saw all the attractions but 3. We didnt get to do Swiss Family Tree House or play shooting gallery or shrunken Ned boats game. We were exhausted but it was a great time. The park was busy but we never had to wait for more than 10 minutes or so due to judicious use of fast passes and good timing. The only thing we waited on was a character greeting in Toon town. That took forever.

Sunday we recovered and went over to Epcot for luch at Biergarten and saw the soft opening of Spaceship Earth. Some good changes there. Last night was EMH at MGM so we headed over there and hit the headliners there. Again, the park was busy but the lines were not bad. Osbourne lights were good as usual.

Got my blue icicle lights up but I want MORE!! :lmao: Since I am in Tampa today I am stopping at Target to see if they have any lights on sale. DH will be rolling his eyes big time! But since I have to stop there anyway for socks and beer for him he can't be too upset.

EMH at MK tonight but I amy be MK'd out! :goodvibes
