If you had to walk from ball road to the Howard Johnson Hotel, how far and how long of a walk is it?

My hotel that I am staying at at the beginning of October is no longer offering Shuttle Service. To catch it I have to go to a location who does have it, and the HJ is the closest. Its that or catch a cab every day. Im not too happy about this.

Wow, that's pretty far, not sure on mileage though. I wouldn't walk it.

Where are you staying? Are you sure that would be the closest?

Honestly I would never take a shuttle from the HoJo. By the time you waited for it, got on, dealt with all the traffic lights, you could walk in on your own.

I see you leaving very soon, but is there any way to switch your hotel?

Im starting to think it might be best to switch hotels, im not to happy about the one we are staying at. My mum booked it. Its Americas best inns. Only a 1 star. Shes like its a place to sleep and shower. Id like to upgrade to somwehere closer, but im not sure how as I got a package deal on Travelocity.

Depending on where on Ball Rd. your hotel is, you might be able to walk to the Disney parking structure and take the tram from there. It's around Ball and West, in that area behind the park.

Have you tried putting your hotel and hojos in to map quest and seeing how far it is? Hojo's is at that end of the strip of hotels on harbor, but it really depends on where your hotel is on Ball.

I belevie the America's Best Inn is near the intersection of Ball and Harbor Blvd.The walk would be about 15 minutes or so.

Not only is that a bit of a hike from Ball Road to the entrance gates, it is a walk that takes you up and over the freeway interchange. If you would like to switch hotels, I can personally vouch for the great hotel and service we received at the HoJo. The walk is far more "doable" from there.
