I just wanted to say how excited I am about finally being able to plan our next WDW trip and to be back on the boards!!! Our last trip was in 2000, and I'm planning now for Aug 04. I've already booked the Dolphin for 6 nights and will also book HRH for 4 nights!!!

I love these boards but when I was in WDW limbo after our 2000 trip, well I just couldn't bear to be on the boards not knowing when our next trip would be. It was so depressing to read about everyone planning their trips, getting great discounts, etc., I just eventually avoided the boards altogether. Does anyone else out there feel like that when you don't have a trip in the future?

But now I'm BACK!!!!! WooHoo!!

Now if I could just figure out how to get that darn countdown thingy to work.

I do it for research, too!!

If you want a countdown thingie.. go over to the TECHNICAL SUPPORT board on the DIS. They have instructions and you can test your clock over there and everything.

Welcome back and congratulations on your upcoming trip. I think the boards are what keep a lot of us going in between our trips. It is so much fun to read about everyone's plans and then their trip reports. So, don't stay away so long. I know too well how hard it is to go as often as we would like but you are missing out on a lot of fun and a lot of great info (not to mention a few fiery feuds from time to time) that could help get you to WDW a little sooner than you thought. At least mentally if not physically. Enjoy your planning stage as it can be almost as much fun as the trip itself.

Isn't it great to have a trip on the way? I always try to have a trip-in-progress although this is not always possible. Even if the trip is a year away, I feel better if I have a countdown timer ticking away! Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to speed them up.

I felt the same way! It was depressing to read about the hotels and upcoming trips when I didn't have one planned for myself. But, as soon as I knew for sure we would be going next year - I'm back!! I love reading everything and planning - and Mercy - my trip is a lot further than yours!! I'm really happy to be back and planning again.

But,I continued to visit the boards to read and LEARN EVERYTHING I could for my 2004 trip(which we started to talk about on the flight home from our 2000 trip!!) . So,its been almost 3 years since that trip. The one thing thats different when
visiting the DIS,are the boards I read and post on. When I'm planning,I'm on the resort,restaurant,attractions and ALWAYS trip reports boards. When I just come back,I'm on the Community boards the most and trip reports.
