gosh you are organised :lmao:

Have not bought our clothes yet, or toiletries or anything. Suitcase still in the loft - have to get a move on - only eight weeks to go

Well done Tracy! That is quite impressive! It's a great feeling having the holiday paid off. Did mine on Saturday :yay:

I CAN NOT believe you guys are packing already! I have a Disney box for bits and pieces that are going like autograph books etc and I only pack a day or two before :rotfl: I just count out x pairs of jeans, t shirts ..... etc etc, a bathing suit each, suncream and a few basic toiletries and lock the case. I like to buy stuff when we get there - much more fun for me. ;)

we will be paying our balanc e next week ,starting to get a bit excited myself :banana::banana::banana::thumbsup2

Never mind Tracy, last year my packing backfired on me. I had packed everything and the cases were standing in the spare room. We had to get to the airport so I gave DD her clothes and a set of instructions  about not fiddling about and went down to switch things off, lock up, etc. Came up to chase her up and she stunned me by not only being dressed, but I found her standing in the middle of the two cases, now open with everything strewn across the floor asking if I had seen some toy she had meant to pack :scared1: It occurred to me at that moment that had I spent days and weeks packing I would have been a lot more annoyed. Thankfully this time the contents were in the house. Some years back it was my underwear appearing at random intervals on the carousel courtesy of what must have been a forklift that had pierced my case :rolleyes1. Needless to say, I don't do hardshell cases anymore :lmao:

I exercise my extreme planning compulsion in other areas of my planning and then balance it out by being relaxed about the packing. As long as the important things like documents, cameras, batteries and chargers ...... are checked, clothing is less of an emergency.

:cool1::banana::woohoo:

We go exactly a month from today, l'm hoping to start packing in another couple of weeks, l'm in the middle of decluttering and giving a lot of stuff to charity shops so want to get that out of the way first. It'll be nice to come back from holiday to a clutter free house with room for all my new holiday purchases. :thumbsup2

I am panicking - I think you are going at the same time as me (1st August) - we are paying off ours on Friday - sure it is not due until Sunday - have you paid yours slightly early??? Invoice etc at my mum house :goodvibes

If you pay on Friday and you do it over the phone the payment reflects on their system immediately, saving you from worrying about it not going through in time ... not that you would worry about silly little things ;) I always do this and then go online immediately after and it has all gone through by the time I put the phone down (on my booking on the DIsney site, not on the bank account of course).

Well done Tracy! It must be a lovely feeling when you pay the balance.:thumbsup2

yes, we go at the same time (fly3rd aug) and yes, i paid it of early as have time this week...took me over an hour on the phone to sort everything out, then another 30mins on the phone to book the neverland club, and 30 mins last night trying to book the train tour for dh, which is fully booked ALL the time we are there!:confused3:sad2::sad1: (thats 2 hours on the phone listening to wdw music:scared1:)
i am panicking tbh, there is alot riding on this holiday, the kids are older and there fore have their own ideas about "their" holiday, its our wedding anniversary:lovestruc, we are moving hotel 4 times, (1st night at GTW, 2nd nnight miami, 3rd SSR 4th villa) so never done that before.
3 weeks is along time, esp to be on site, last trip in 2006was 3 weeks and seemed looooong, but thekids were (obviously:rolleyes1) younger, and in 2008 we hit TSfaye, so no heat/humidity/crowds so really i feel like its our first trip (when really its my 5th...)

Well done Tracy!! :yay:

I am getting all the odds and ends organised too. No packing yet but we are very light packers - half a dozen of everything and off we go.

I ahve, however, written my packing list :lmao:

What are we like?

no, they are not locked tbf, but the kids wouldnt dare touch them:rotfl2:
i pack individual days in large food bags, so its easier to remove anything we need (told you i had ocd:rotfl:)
tomorrow (or when they are finished) ill take them to my moms and leave them there so i dont mess, mom has more room, and they are out of my way:laughing:
sad arent i?
p.s also means a trial run to check they all fit in the car:confused3

Actually that is sounding a whole lot more like superb organisation than ocd to me. I don't quite know how I am going to pack without DD being suspicious (surprise trip this one) and I have visions of packing up in the loft and then doing pulling dangerous stunts on the ladder to get down :rotfl: Last time I did something like that I tipped the ladder and fell (I can't post on here what I said as I was falling :rolleyes1)

I actually like your idea of taking them to your mom's house (although my parents' house is smaller than mine so it wouldn't work). Any suggestions from the organised packing guru are welcome ;)

Oh, do you weigh them before you go too?

i pack everything in plastic bags like these
http://groceries.asda.com/asda-esto...ame=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=2983
shorts t bobbles etc, that way they just grab a bag and wear it, everything is co ordinated before i go, no issues of this doesnt match:rotfl2:
i do day (light, generally disney t shirts, and then evening, smarter, longer shorts, smarter t shirts, for the evening.
it works for me, removes the stress in the morning when im half awake and havent had any coffee:rolleyes1

Oh yes, the kids and co-ordination problems. DD is into things "matching", read: all one colour, but in various shades and tones :scared1:. On "non fad dressing" days she gets the outfit right but them puts on some clashing socks and shoes. Now that I see all the practicality involved in your strategy I suspect I could well become a convert ;)
