I know my kids would like that more. How much further from the park entrances is DLH? How is the pool there (something else my boys will care about)?

The pool is newly done so I haven't even seen pics but it sounds fantastic. I wonder if someone has been and taken some? Post a new thread and ask specifically for pics of it! You can read about it here... http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland-hotel/

The headboards are awesome. They have fiber optics and light up and such :goodvibes

Here's a quote from their page " The expanded pool area is the hub of the hotel's magical past with its centerpiece: a pair of twisting, turning Monorail water slides — the first a towering 26 feet high and 187 feet long, and the second 13 feet high and 112 feet long. Splash around in an immersive water play area the whole family can explore together, or relax at the Minnie or Mickey Spa outdoor hot tubs.

Once upon a time, you needed a D-Ticket to ride Tomorrowland's Skyway or an E-Ticket to embark on the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Now there are 2 pools named after these iconic passes. The D-Ticket Pool is a shady oasis and the E-Ticket Pool is perfect for families. With poolside food and beverage service during select times of the year, feel free to bask in a lazy afternoon. No ticket required."

Congratulations!!

I know the feeling of many others as I get excited every time I see a Fedex truck as well.

Additionally, we had a Disney Phone call the other day and even after reading this board and mostly knowing that it was not a phone call notifying me of winning anything, we still all got exited when we saw Hollywood Studios on the caller ID.

After picking our hearts up off the ground, it was just Customer Service making sure we had a great trip on our first WDW trip in December, I told the nice girl what happened and she laughhhhhhhed, then apologized. You gotta love those CMs!!!!

Congrats again!!

Okay, that sounds awesome. My boys would love it. Now I'm off to see if I can find some pictures. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know how long it takes to walk to the park entrances?

Oh wow! I would have died. I've never heard of them calling you after a trip. Sometimes that's just not nice.

Do you know if any winners have been by the text entry?

Does anyone know how they are contacting those winners? (if there are any)

I read that at least one person (I believe a dis'er) won from entering via text and their first notification came as a phone call followed by an email.

Yes, that's right. One DISer (J.J.) said that he entered by text and received a phone call asking to verify his address. The next day he received the affidavit by Fedex. :) So, make sure that you answer all phone calls that you don't recognize the number, just in case! :thumbsup2
