I've been wanting to do a mom & daughter shopping trip as a gift for her on Mother's day. Well, the past couple years have been so busy for me during spring that I just couldn't make it. This year I've actually saved up some cash for this. I'm traveling up and spending a few days there. She loves chico's so that's a must do. ( I will need to find some coupons since it seems pricey for the type of items they have) Maybe L.L bean. She loves to shop but never buys anything for herself. No clue where else to go/plan for but I'm excited to spring this on her! :flower3:

What are your Mothers Day plans?

I don't know what the kids have planned for me, but we are surprising them by telling them about our trip to WDW four days later! I told DH I wanted that to be part of my present!:goodvibes

I will take my mom to her favourite garden centre and let her pick out her annuals for her garden on me...that is her favourite thing. ::yes::

Packing for Disney :). Mother's Day is also my birthday and we are leaving the next day for Disney :).

My plans- soccer tournament woo.hoo. But I do love watching DD play, so it isn't too bad. It seems like there is a long stretch funny enough when your are in the "motherhood trenches" that mothers day is almost like any other day, cooking , cleaning, .... Now Fathers Day well lets all nap and be lazy...;)

Will probably go to church first then head up to my inlaws for lunch. the men are going to BBQ steaks. Happy Mother's Day to all :flower3:

As much as I love my mother I will not be spending the day with her. On the 8th I will taking her and my dad to visit relatives for lunch. I have to take the day off to do this since I have an hour drive up to them and an 1 1/2 hour to the lunch. It is also their 59th anniversary that day.

Since I do them this favor (I have done it the last couple of years. It happens to be a day where all my students are taking their AP Calc exam so I have nothing to do in class) my mother understands that I might not want to make it up to see her on Sunday.

In the past when I didn't take the day I would go up and go to church and breakfast with her and dh would go down and visit with his mother.

I think I am just going to stay home and relax in my newly empty home. Ds1 just moved out yesterday and ds2 moved out last year.

Tusker House for breakfast.... My first park day of my mother daughter trip with my 9yo. She says she'll buy me a present at the parks, but that it has to be cheap:rotfl2: Like mother, like daughter I guess.

So cute!!!!

Going on a girls only Mother Day trip to Disney, staying at POR with a friend and her daughter with my daughters as well, going to have a blast! Plan on being at MK on Mother's Day!:woohoo:pixiedust:

For the first time in many years - won't spend Mother's Day with my mom BUT I can't wait - I will be spending it with my dd who is working in Disney. She is in the CP and has been down there since January. Can't wait to see her!!!!

Have a great trip. Going to see my CP daughter on 5/19.

I'm going to see Iron Man 3 alone!:cool1: Don't judge, I have a 2,5, and 8 year old. Last time I even had an hour to myself was last Nov. when the in-laws were in town. I can't wait!

Then the rest of the day with my boys and lunch!

We won't have much planned but I'll be happy to have my family all together. DD just finished her first year at college and is on a road trip with friends. She'll be home Saturday night. DH will probably grill and I'll ask the kids to make a yummy dessert. DD & DH are going to a concert that night so I'll enjoy a quiet evening after the younger two go to bed.

I'm trying to think of something special to send my mom. I can't be there (18 hrs away) and it's her first year without her mom.

I will be in Hollywood Studios celebrating Mothers Day and my daughters 3rd birthday the day after!

We have always gotten together and grilled with our parents, children and their families. This year everyone has extra busy schedules, (most of the husbands have to work) so all the mother's in our family that can are going to the city flea market and High School Art show. We decided to just skip the grilling. My mother passed away 2 yrs. ago but she will be with us in our thoughts. I am giving my 2 daughters and daughter in law a pretty gerainium.

My mother is deceased and my MIL will be in Arizona visiting my BIL and his wife, so my husband and daughter are taking me to the first game of the season of our favorite amateur soccer team and I am definitely looking forward to the beginning of a summer of fun soccer games. :)

My kids are going to be surprised with a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge!!!! 2 days at the water park with my uber busy DH and kids is the best thing I can get! Booty shake!!! I can't wait to go on the water coaster and they double drain thingy my kids call the toilet (don't ask me???)

(plus, Mom and I are going to get pedicures on Saturday and have lunch at Red Lobster after we are done, but the kids and DH will join us for that part)
