So do you think we can share counter service to save credits?

For example, I was thinking that dd (6 yrs) would share my CS meals at lunch so we could use her credit to share a CS meal for breakfast. Do you think we will be able to do this? Not really a big deal if we can't, but it would be nice. I forsee us using our snack credits and OOP food expenses on lots of water and some ice cream treats.

It won't be a problem to do that. IF disney separates the credits...then you'll be sharing a kid's breakfast. If you arent' big breakfast eaters, that'll be fine. We did that (shared adult entree's at lunch and kid's breakfasts).

absolutely do-able!! dd and i shared CS most mornings and it really worked great... the other family we went with used their CS credits for individual breakfasts (oatmeal of all things... imo a POOR use of CS credits, but they wouldn't listen to me) and then complained that they were either hungry by lunchtime or had to go oop...

you can also supplement that shared breakfast by using a snack credit to buy a box of donuts or other similar items...

We shared counter service lunches at Cosmic Rays in MK. I like chicken and DH likes ribs. We shared the combo platter and bought an extra drink and still had food left over.

Read that too quickly, my eyes added an extra "p" and I thought "glad oatmeal doesn't work that way on me"! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, oatmeal does have lots of fiber :rotfl2:

There a lots of places you can share counter service: order double cheeseburgers and get an extra bun. The rotisserie chicken @ Tangierine Cafe is huge. Just split the chicken and get a side order of fries (if needed). Lots of things like that you can do to conserve credits.

We all shared adult CS meals when we went in May - DH, DS (2), and me. Because of snack credits and knowing we would use one or two of those later in the day, we didn't need to stuff ourselves at meals. We shared a meal at the Tusker House (the rotisserie chicken meal) and a meal at Flametree Barbeque with no problem. I am a popcorn lover so I didn't eat much at lunch but had a snack of popcorn a bit later in the day. We found that we had plenty of food on the DDP - no credits went unused, but we were never hungry! I must qualify that and say that we brought breakfast foods (little cereals, cereal bars, etc.) and ate breakfast in our room every day except for one room service breakfast in bed (for Mother's Day) and Chef Mickey's TS for breakfast one day (we were in WDW for a week).

Thanks for the info! We'll give it a shot and see what happens. No big deal if we can't. Probably won't have time to do more than grab a snack for breakfast most days really.

My teenaged daughter and I shared several CS lunches in May. She's a bigger eater than I, and there was plenty of food.

Suggestions--double hamburger/cheeseburger combo...you can purchase an extra bun for 70-90 cents depending on the place. I usually drank ice water (tap water in a glass). The chicken/ribs combo available at Cosmic Rays and Pepper Market--easily serves 2 or even 3.

We were there last week and had no problem splitting CS meals. We had two CS credits left for our check out day by sharing.

Can you share a sit down dinner? When we go to WDW my dh and I usually share a meal. Will we be allowed to do that?

I can see how they would be able to restict sharing at TS restaurants, but I can't see this working for CS meals. My DH and I will probably eat at different places a few of the times. He doesn't like Morrocan or Mexican food, and I plan to have both. Last year, my DS (16) and I ate many CS meals at different times; I like to eat lunch early, he likes to eat late (he likes to sleep late too, so it was an interesting week!). I'm sure we are not the only people at WDW who eat CS meals like this.fff

We never shared CS credits and had 4 left over at the end of our vacation. If we had shared we would have had even more left over. We ended up getting food for the flight home just to spend them.

We are going for 10 nights, with the free DDP, and we have DDE. Each day, DH, DD3, and I will split 2 adult CS lunches (all our TS meals are dinner). Since we arrive at lunchtime and depart after lunchtime, we will use a total of 22 CS credits, and have 8 left over. DH thinks we should not go to the park each morning without a full breakfast, so would it be better to use an additional 2 CS (to share) for 4 days for breakfast (and pay OOP for the remaining days), or let DH use 1 CS each day and pay OOP with DDE for something small, like 2 buttered bagels for DD and me, and save the extra CS in case we don't feel like sharing one day, or if DH is looking for a late night personal pan pizza fix, etc? It seems like a waste to use a CS credit for a food court breakfast platter when we can have an "adventure" for lunch. I just don't want to hoard the credits and have more than we can use at the end of the trip, though.

Our DD was not on our dining plan because she went with our church's youth choir. For CS she used DS(11) credit and they shared a BBQ rib plate and appetizer at Sci-Fi Dine-In. Our server was very accomodating.
