So, do you have a strange catch phrase or word?

My husband and I are huge fans of South Park and find ourselves repeating things from there. A favorite is "tree-fidy", which is suppose to be 3.50, but Chef's parents say it the other way.
Another favorite is the funny way that Cartman say "here" as in, "I'm moving over here". I don't even know how to spell it, but I'm sure South Park fans know what I am talking about. ;)

herrr? i think thats right. i love south park...i whish they had it on more often though, like every night!:)

Don't know why but I say oy a lot.

For a while, I had one of my managers convinced I was from Canada, because of a tendancy to use the phrase "eh", because I pronounce Detroit with 3 syllables (Dee-troy-it), and because I have a slight canadian accent when speaking "ou" words (out, about, etc)

Who you saying has an accent????;)

One thing we often say, with apologies to Monkeyboy, is "laugh while you can monkey boy".

I think we should all just keep saying this the next time he is on the DisBoard! :teeth:

My daughter LOVED Banana's in Pajama's when she was 2 and 3, so I adopted Rat in a Hat's saying...

CHEESE AND WHISKERS! (See my tag!)

Ok, it appears that he is only online during the weekdays, so I'd think on Monday we should hit him with it! LOL!

I use the word "Blast" or "Blasted" all the time...lke Blast I cant believe that happned...I think I picked this up at WDW as an alternative to swearing.

I'll often do the same thing with the word curses....like in old 50's movies...Curses!

My little cousins all say Sons of the Pharoh!....because they're uncle and I used to say that all the time..its a quote from the Mummy i think....something stupid to say.

I also have the bad habit of calling people by generic nick names...like chief, skipper, pal, buddy, chum, etc.

Jungle Josh

Well my dis catch phrase is tagless - ok pity party over and now

I refuse to use some of the common phrases where I live. I would say something like oh really, for real, etc. I just cant believe some of the stories people tell me, but oddly and bizzarely they all are true. We have an ongoing joke with our friends about our soap opera problems with some cousins and even my girlfriend said to me tonight, after I told her an update - is that for real?

When I lived in texas I sure said ya'll alot.

wicked retarded

No, that's "wicked REtahhhhhhhhdid"!

I'm always saying "are you waiting for an invitation" in traffic. Say, someone sits at a green light just looking around and not moving. HELLO ...... are you waiting for an invitation?

I picked up "totally" also. Last year McD's had those raspberry shake commercials featuring the Nemo characters and one said "totally" and it stuck in my head.

I seem to be saying "Cripes!" and "Holy Cricket" an awful lot lately.

One night this week, I saw something really...let's say out there....and I opened my mouth and out came "Good Night!!!!!!". Not screaming, in a sarcastic sort of tone...

Know what DH said??? "It is only 8:30, you ready for bed already???" Gotta love him....::yes::

When something happens in school it's " No big whoop". When the class is getting too chatty it's "pipe down in the peanut gallery" I say "chit-chat" a lot too, and I didn't realize that was a regional thing (my parents are from Philly). People in western ma. don't understand " chit-chat" :D I also say " a'ight" just to iritate my own kids, as in , " don't even think about leaving that hamburger meat in your room again, a'ight" This of course must be accompanied by "the hand":teeth:

Another "wicked" user here. You can drag the girl from New England, etc., etc.

My other strange phrase is "goose on my grave," properly used when one gets an unexplained chill. Picked that one up from my grandmother.

I use wicked and very interchangably. They mean the same thing. I can fall into the New Engald accent in a heartbeat! DH wants to live there becuase that is his favorite accent and whenever I am there...there is no stopping it.

I use the word Lingo...for example : Rock on is not in my lingo! LOL!

But I dont use strange ones other than that. Dh and I fall into the movie quotes too. As Good As It Gets has some zingers we use.

Nothing strange though.

When I get frustrated, annoyed, something doesn't make sense to me.... I say "for crying out loud!" I say it too much...:p
