So did anyone get points for Christmas.......as a surprise? Just wondering because it would seem like a great gift for the diehard DVCer........

No, but a couple of years ago I helped a dear friend buy a DVC resale contract for his wife as a gift! It was a total surprise to her!

Not this year. But DH mentioned it yesterday, so it may be a future Christmas present.
