So DD 14 said to me

My 14 yo DD, the one who complains daily of her lack of privacy. The one who swears she can never find peace & quiet in this house. Goes through moments when she simply can't stand her brothers (10 & 4 yo). My daughter who clearly would have been happier if she'd been raised an odnly child says to me............"Mom I wish you wouldn't have gotten you tubes tied. It would have been so great to have a larger family! Have you thought of getting them untied & having another baby?" Ummmmmm, No Hon but someday you & your husband can have as large of a family as you like! What was she thinking???

I have a DD who is 14 and wishes we would have stopped after her. I know she loves her brothers 9 and 10 but has little in common with them. I think I would burst out laughing if she ever said that to me.

Mom can you and Dad have another baby i want a little brother or sister

i said nope you have one and fight with her all the time

to which she replyied but Mom babies are so cute

yes dear i said they are but they grow into teenagers and i have enough with you and your sis

Our teens are 17 and 15 and DD17 has been worried since she was 10 or so that we were going to have another baby. No thanks - I bagged my limit 15 years ago!

She's not as neurotic about it now, but if my DH and I really want to step on a nerve, we tease her about having a baby brother or sister in the house. She is STILL not a happy camper when we do that (mean, I know, but SHE can drive us nuts in various ways at this age, so what's the harm in a little payback from time to time?!?! ).

DS15 wants 10 kids. As a future grandmother, if he and his wife can support them, that's fine with me!!
