So Confused!!

I'm planning on buying the Nikon 55-200 mm lens. Some websites say the warranty is 5 years; some say 1 year. Why is this? Thanks for any help

The standard warranty for a Nikon Lens is 1 year. If you fill out the warranty card and send it in they will extend to 5 yrs. I usually register on line and that is good enough. Just make sure you keep your receipt!

Keep in mind that there are grey market goods that are legal that do not have a warrenty.
