hi all -- asking the same question that has already been asked a million times -- but im having a blond moment I guess. we check in on oct 31 -- so can I make my reservations 60 days before that or I thought I read somewhere about 60 days prior plus 10??? im confused -- LOL -- anyone that could help I would appreciate it -- thanks!

and does that window open at midnight the day I can start?

It does but if a park is open for later than midnight (like Magic Kingdom sometimes does), you will have to wait until 1:00 AM. I don't know your situation but personally, nothing, and I mean, nothing, is more important to me than a good night's sleep so you might think about just getting up a bit earlier on that "first day" of FastPass reservation making and do it then. You would have more wits about you anyway and, at 60 days out, you will more than likely be able to get things your family will enjoy.

I thought I read somewhere that park closing no longer impacts when FP opens and its midnight irregardless now.

I just made my FP selection this morning for our trip in September. I decided to sleep rather than wait up but did get up at 5am. Just to let you know that by 5am all the Anna and Elsa meet and greets were gone for our day at Magic Kingdom. Now, we are planning MK on a Sunday so not sure if that was an issue.
It is not something I had planned for FP but just wanted to let you know that staying up late may be a good option if that is one of your choices.
Good luck

Correct, I believe it was first noticed over Memorial Day weekend that the window opened even when MK was still open. I had to make my FP on what would have been the next 1am night but the window opened at midnight just as it had for all of the other nights.

It appers you are staying onsite. Your MDE has a countdown for your FP reservation day. Just log in and you should see a number.

If you have tickets and your resort reservation separate, I.e. not a package, you can practice making FP reservations before that time. It helped me get comfortable before I had to do the real ones. Just delete them right after you are done.

The system sees your tickets but does not know when you will use them since they are not directly linked to a particular resort reservations.
