So confused! Split stay or not

I posted a few weeks ago about my spilt stay between the contemporary and then either dolphin/AKL.. Long story short- I can now get my discounted rate the entire time at the Contemporary (checking in on Sunday leaving Saturday). Which was my original plan.

But I started looking forward to staying at dolphin since we were going to hit Epcot and DHS on those days....

Price is the same(after u add dolphin resort fees). What do u all think?? How much more time would it take me to get from contemporary to DHS/Epcot vs. from the dolphin.

Well, consider the fact that restaurants at the Swan are not on the dining plan. It can be expensive. If your prime focus the whole time is DHS and Epcot, I guess stay there, but keep in mind the dining plan. The contemporary is not far from Epcot and DHS and there are a lot more amenities for a good discounted rate. You must take he bus from CR to DHS but it isn't far. You can take a monorail from CR to Epcot, which is very quick.

I like your current plan of a split stay between Dolphin and Contemporary. If you havent yet, you might have the opportunity to visit Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club and the Swan. All are within walking distance of Dolphin. Lots of possibilities! Its about 10-15 minutes dock to dock via boat from both parks back to Dolphin.

We love split stays! It's easy and its really not a big deal. You also get to try out some new places. Have fun either way!

I suggest weighing the difference in the amount of time to pack/unpack for a split stay vs. the small amount of extra time to get from CR to parks other than MK.

Ok I'm calling this afternoon to cancel my dolphin stay... I think the only day we would save time is our Epcot day.. The next day when we would do DHS we would have to deal with checking in and out and moving our car... Also I think we r going to hit a park for a few hours on the day we check in and we had planned on soon DHS but it is SWW so we will do MK instead and be right there. Only about 9 days to go!
