So cheezy?

So I'm going to WDW in July right. And my mom is trying to tell me EVERYTHING I am going to wear. And when I went when I was smaller everyone wore fanny packs. And so my mom is DEAD SET on making me wear one the whole time! I'm really just ranting but anyone have any comments about how to presuade her differently?

I wore a fanny pack the first year.
I put up with it.
I wore it really loose, or carried it like a purse.

As for clothes, try to make an agreement. Maybe, pick out the clothes you agree on, she lets you pick a few of your own, and you let her pick a few.

Yeah. I tried that but she's like where are you going to put your camera and money and stuff and I said my purse. But she's like you'll lose it cuz I sit my purse down a lot and stuff. So frusterating... and normally my mom's sos cool...?

Try telling her nicely and calmly: "Mom, I love you, and I'm glad you care about me, but no one wears Fanny Packs."

As for the clothes... that's not as bad as the whole fanny pack thing. I pack stuff myself so.... but I don't know. I just can't get through to her...? Andl ike my best friend is going with me and she's trying to tell her what to wear to...?

we bought little nike drawstring backpacks from dick's sporting goods for our stuff and they worked fine. and they were only like $7 and came with a pair of socks(lol) and a water bottle!

Well maybe if I suggest that it will work. My friend was like stunned when my mom gave her a list of the clothes she needs to buy and from where. The backpack thing is at least better than a fanny pack...

I had to do that with my lunky carry on a few times in the airport because I couldn't leave it in the same spot.
I have a cute bag that looks just fine over the head.

You could try a baggallini bag. Those seem to work well for everyone, from the great reviews here on the DIS. I was thinking of getting one for my upcoming trip.

This is a nike drawstring bag, I use mine everytime I go to florida, you can fit a wallet, brush camera, and any other miselanoeuos (sp??) objects in it, I wear mine on only one shoulder, and it works wonderful, I never leave it, because I feel like I'm forgetting something everytime I put it down, and on rides it still stays on my arm no matter what. Works wonderfully. Try that!
As for clothes, what kinds of clothing is she trying to pakc for you? clothing you alreayd own, and she's just picking it out?
