So.....Are you done with shopping?

I've been done with our kids since July ;) bought a bunch of stuff at Kmart when the toys were on clearance.

Just went to Kmart and ToysRus to put a few things on layaway for dh...Just have to get gift cards for in laws, and brother in law, and sis in law.

Our tree has been up since last week. I plan on wrapping all the kids gifts on Wed ;)

So close...

All i have left to buy is a GC for DD1, a GC for DD1 and her boyfriend (together gift), and a GC for DD2 (oh, and probably a small one for DD2's boyfriend). I even bought DH's stuff already! :cool1:

DS wants to get something for DD2 and DD1. Most of my Christmas cards are done. DH/DS probably aren't getting me anything, since I just bought a washer and dryer (thank you Home Depot, for putting your "BF" sales up the week before!)

DH is making these leather necker rings for his Cub boys, so that's his mess. I did their cards, and I'm making the candy this coming weekend. (We're giving them the neckers, plus the candy---hard lemon, cinnamon, orange and peppermint "glass candy"). Also, might make the homemade marshmallows and shortbread cookies I made a few years ago.

The cubs are making 3 ornaments at the Tuesday den meeting, to gift to whoever they want. The next week, they are making a "fake book"--a wooden box that looks like a book, but really is a small box.

I did ALL of my shopping last week - during the Veteran's Day sales - online.. The earliest I have ever been done..:thumbsup2 I usually do it all (online) Thanksgiving Day & BF, but the sales were just too good to pass up this year.. Got more than I planned on - yet came in way under my self-imposed budget..:yay:

Quite a few items have already arrived - now I have to try to force myself to start wrapping before I get lazy and put it off till the last minute..:santa:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not even started. Was much easier when the kids were little, had less stuff and loved everything, getting great stuff they loved cost less $ and they didn't change their lists in December. :headache:

Well I started shopping but no where near done. I pretty much know what I'm getting everyone so it shouldn't be hard to get it done quickly. I hope.

Almost all done. What I have already bought is wrapped. I just have the big gifts (barbie house, ipod, ugg boots) left and I was waiting to see if I could get a deal on BF.

Nope. Not done:sad2:
I thought I was getting close..but I just made a list and I still have 9 people to buy for. The problem is I LOVE shopping for the kids. And I LOVE shopping for my husband. I also love shopping when I know just what to get someone. So all of those people are done or almost done.
That just leaves the people that I have zero ideas for. This is the part of Christmas shopping that I leave too long because I stress about it.

I am hereby declaring that I will be 100% finished shopping by December 1st. I want to spend the time leading up to the holidays baking and driving around looking at the lights and watching Christmas movies with the kids. NOT SHOPPING.

We will be having the first Christmas as a family celebration this year. The baby will be 23 months old and will know more about what's going on this year, unlike last year when we were in "moving to FL" mode. My partner and I have agreed to not buy anything for each other. We still have 2 mortgages due to the move down here to be here for the baby, who we were granted concurrent custody of this year (Thank you Lord!) and my terminally ill, and I still can't believe that she's alive, MIL. However, it's Christmas and if there is a way to share the magic and make new traditions for this baby and our newly formed family, we are going to do it. So, I took it upon myself a few months ago to start buying things to put up for Joe to deliver. Joe is the jolly old elf and the agreed upon covert term that we use in our house. ;)

We have nothing to decorate for the holidays with here in FL. All of that stuff is still in storage up in GA. We will get a tree or something. As for presents, my little Layna Bear is hooked up! She has a new baby doll, new doll clothes for her old but much loved baby doll, wooden Disney puzzles, lots of books, lots of Color Wonder Disney Princess kits (including the Tiana one - very excited to have found it!), a Disney Princess lap desk for craft stuff, an educational toy book, a Disney Princess book that I have read and recorded the story for her to keep, the Fisher Price Zoo Talkers set, Safari Truck, and more Zoo Talker Animals, some other coloring books that use water for markers that can be again, and a Toy Story little doodle sketch pad, a Fisher Price toy train, a couple of Fisher Price books with figures, and more stuff that escapes me at the moment. Basically, Joe did good and is glad to be done with it all. :thumbsup2

Okay.. We'll be looking for your post..;)

And maybe I'll finally have some of my wrapping done by then.. I'm planning on doing whatever I don't get done before then on Thanksgiving - because I'm not doing dinner - but we'll see.. :rolleyes1

Dson-in-law & I just brought all of my stuff down from the lake this afternoon (van was full & so was his truck), so I also have to get all of THAT unpacked & put away..:scared1: That's really more important because we have it all over the living room, out in the one garage, downstairs, some in my bedroom - plus I have 2 doctor appts. next week.. Guess I better get started tomorrow - do as much as I physically can - then do a little more every day till it's done.. Luckily DGD will be here to help me with some of it tomorrow..:thumbsup2

Knocked off a couple more today on our shopping trip, but the rest of mine has been done online. I have given my Amazon cart a workout, with all of the adding, deleting, saving for later. I finally pulled the trigger on one load, the rest I am going to wait a bit. Love shopping on Amazon! Especially for my kids and people that I know won't want or need to return their gift.

We won't be drawing names and getting lists for Dh's side till Thursday, but I have one thing for each niece/nephew so far. Will wait to see their lists and probably get them one more thing from their list.

Aside from a small LCD and the stuff for DS's Lego table that DH is going to make from Ikea, we are done (stockings included!).

I have done a very small amount of shopping...need to get shopping pretty quick so I can be done by mid Dec.

We're building ds a Lego table and got stuff from Ikea too! We already have the desk/table itself and the lego baseplates. Now we just need the rest of the stuff from Home Depot and we're going today!:)

I still can't decide whether or not to do bf shopping. I have gone the past 5 years and normally love it, but just have not been too impressed with the sales this year.
I may hit walmart at 10pm just to see if they have a couple things in stock that I noticed in their flyer. But their just for the home so not a big deal.

I just need to get some stocking stuffers for my nephew and he is done.
I still have to get the tv for my dad and stocking stuffers and he is done.
And I need stocking stuffers for my mom and I think she is done.

I told everyone next year we are not doing gifts, but just putting the money into something for the house and doing toys for tots or something.

I got my last 4 names yesterday. A few of them are getting gift cards and the other ones are really easy and its a $25 limit, so I am pretty close to done!

That's what got me shopping before bf. It used to be the day I started everything but I was just not at all impressed with the sales or the starting times. I ended up not even going to my #1 places like Target,Kohls and Best Buy for gifts. Time for new traditions of online shopping!
