I am fuming right now. We are 75 days out and waited until midnight to sign up for Palos and Flounder's Reef only to discover that AAA never processed our payment. We specifically called a month ago to make sure and now we find out they didn't.

I am so furious. The agent we originally booked with left and we were passed on to another agent. I will never book with AAA again.

I'm going to be so mad if we don't get the bookings we want because they did not process our payment.

:(

Hi, I have read of other people having a message appear on the DCL site when trying to book at the 75 day mark that they are not paid in full. Turns out it is some sort of glitch in DCL's system - if you had been logged onto their site prior to midnight, it seems to give this message in error. Hopefully that is the case for you. Have you tried logging out of the DCL site completely, waiting a bit & logging back in?

Just thought I would mention it...good luck!

Our AAA agent processed our deposit twice!! We will have things paid for early, but sure were not expecting to do it all NOW.

I hope things are resolved for you quickly. What a frustrating thing to come up against.

I like the AAA rates, but it is frustrating when as a novice reading these boards, I know more than her. Wish there was a way around dealing with them, haven't ever been that impressed. :confused3

This has happened several times.....its a problem with DCL not AAA. I read on here a while ago about someone who said the same thing regarding their DU reservation.

Its a glitch in the system, nobody seems to know why. It usually corrects itself the next day.

We will ever use AAA for DW or DCL booking again either. Long story.
We either book it ourself or use Tracy at DU. :thumbsup2

I had the same thing happen with DU, but it was a problem with the website that resolved itself after logging out for 10 minutes, then logging back in. I feel your pain!!! It was the most frustrating moment of my life!!!

I hope everything works out for you - please keep us posted....

Op try re-logging in in the morning. We had a similar problem. We could not book anything either because it said our cruise was not paid in full yet we booked the entire thing on points:rolleyes1 When I woke up at 6am to get the kids ready for school, I re-logged in and was able to book then.

On that note we have had nothing but problems with CAA which is the same as your AAA. They have manged to mess up every Disney trip I booked with thempopcorn:: Been there done that not doing it anymore:headache:

Unfortunately DCL's site has such a bad glitch that even when you know your payment has been processed it still won't let you in to book at the right point. Thankfully at least now my bloodpressure is peaking at midnight ET instead of 3 AM ET like it used to. It is a shame that they can't/won't correct the problem but I am greatful that we at least have the chance to do this online and not have to do the ressie rush like we did on our first couple cruises when they did not have the online system in place. :)

Well, I guess I'm the minority, in that I love AAA and am using them again. When I make a payment, I go to the office and my TA calls it in while I'm there. Hopefully, I won't experience the DCL glitch when my 90 day mark is here.

I agree with you. I had a rough patch when my ressie was transferred to a new TA there, but after about 15 minutes of terror (I was scared by our conversation) she really stepped up and learned everything she needed to know to make this a fantastic trip for us. I have had no other problems and have always booked with AAA. Our TA also calls in the payment while we sit there. I had the same "payment in full not made" error message but logged off, cleared my cookies and logged back on with no further problems. Totally DCL's fault, not AAA.

I am part of the minority as well, we are using AAA and my TA has been nothing short of awesome. she has been calling DCL every 10 days or so to see if we can get earlier seating (have dr's note). I do not know of any other TA who would do that for us...

Hi!
Sorry it took so long to update. I couldn't get to my computer all day.

It was NOT a glitch. It was AAA's fault. I called first thing this morning and a new agent processed the payment.

We originally were working with an agent who left. She wasn't great, but it was kind of too late. So then she left (or was fired) and we were transferred to a new agent. This was who my husband checked with a month ago to make sure the payment was processed. At the time there was some kind of glitch on Disney's end but she promised she'd take care of it. Well, she didn't.

Two hours after the new agent today made sure the payment was processed (we were able to log in and get our reservations) the agent we'd been working with finally gets in touch and acts like nothing is wrong.

Really...I wouldn't book a cruise with AAA again. There was no cost savings. It was just a headache dealing with a third party. And when AAA screwed up, there was nothing we could do. We couldn't go through Disney because we'd booked with AAA. This didn't end up being a major thing, but it soured me enough not to use AAA again--because next time it could be.

But we got some of what we wanted. A lot of the times we wanted were filled up, but they might have been last night too. Now I'm just on a massive potty training campaign so my son can go in the kid's club!!!! :)

Thanks for listening to me be an Eeyore! Hee hee.

What day are you sailing? We are on the 12/6 Eastern. My poor son is being nagged to death about potty training since he turns 3 four days before our trip. I think we need a potty training support group. I also agree that booking through a TA is not always worth the $50 - $200 cabin credit. My future trips on DCL will be handled by me and me only! Cut out the middleman and the frustration on hearing "Sorry. We can't help you. You booked through a travel agent" from DCL when you call with questions. Hope everything works out for you.

I hear ya! Used a TA too and found that I knew more than they did (wonder how that happened :goodvibes ) and I hated that I couldn't deal with Disney myself. Like you said there was no added value, just an unnecessary third party. We only used a TA because this will the first DCL cruise (first any cruise) so we doubted ourselves .. not anymore!!! I could spin circles around my TA when it comes to Disney and DCL thanks to this place.

:disrocks:

Live and learn.

Last year I transferred my reservation to a travel agency for an onboard credit. Never again. I could not do anything directly with DCL.

This year my booking is directly thru DCL. I have been given info such as my dining rotation and have made special requests that I could just not do without multiple calls/emails last year.

I would recommend that you double check when you board in the resie location concerning your dining rotation. The seating is not even done until 2 weeks prior to the cruise so there is no way that DCL CS can tell you what your rotation will be...well, they can tell you but they wouldn't be accurate since it hasn't been decided until the 2 week mark.

That's weird. I work for AAA and we use a TA site for Disney but it links into the regular reservation site for Disney. When you get the confirmation, there's a link to the payment page. You can even forward it along to the client if they'd prefer to do it themselves after the initial booking. Maybe I'm more well informed because I'm a TA and have been a longtime lurker of these boards. ;)

It also helps that I'm younger than everyone in this office by a good 20-30 years and grew up learning how to use a computer...
