Summer was too hot but did like that I didn't have to pull kids out of school so...we are now planning the next trip for 2 years from now!!!!

Right after Christmas (26th) or March break which is usually the first full week of March here in NB, March would be warmer, December would be prettier????
Maybe Easter but heard that's really busy, busier than 109 degrees in August?
Any thoughts?

Trip report still to come!!!!

I can't help you pick a time of the year but I don't think your crazy about planning already.

I get that from my family since I just got my parents, my family and my sisters family all to book a part of their stay of December 2006 yesterday! So you are not the only one!

BTW the AAA rates were out for my stay the first 2 weeks of December 2006.

I would choose X-Mas time, because its even more magic! I've been to WDW for X-Mas 15 years ago, and we are going this year, but for New Years, because its value season so its better for our finances!!! With the CAA discount its even better!!! Remember that X-Mas is the busiest time of the year at Disney, but New Years is less crowed!!!

Driving...hands down, December - better chances of just rain :umbrella:

and it's prettier:):)
More crowds though, right up until Jan 2 or 3rd, then empty:)

March..less chance of *us* driving - too many states for snowstorms/icestorms right through to North Carolina..

No Christmas decor, and crowds are pretty consistently high:)

HTH!!...and no, you're not crazy - now you're just like us;);)
Welcome to the Club!!

Although driving was a fun adventure and my boys actually enjoyed that part, I think we may drive down to Bangor or even Manchester NH to catch some flights and get there on the same day!

March break would be my choice. Much less crowded than at Christmas (actually, depending on when it is in relation to Easter and other schools' March breaks, it can be quite uncrowded). Weather is usually nice. By March, we've usually had it with snow and cold and a trip to sunnier climes is just the ticket to ease the winter blahs.

I do not think you are planning too far ahead - in fact, if you are thinking to go this Christmas you'd better get cracking. Even if you decide to go in March you should keep an eye out for a good flight deal (time-wise and money-wise). Florida is a very popular destination during the winter months and flights get booked up fast.

We went NB march break last year, and the crowds were minimal until the end of the week (friday).

On the monday we walked onto splash mountain, and big thunder railroad. We had more crowds early, but by 5pm the part was almost empty!

We really enjoyed our time....and am glad that the other provinces, and the us have a later march break, because I could never do Disney in the crowds of December, just not worth it to me. I can't think of any lines, except on the friday. We rode on the Kali River Rapids three times in a row, because no one else was in the line! (we were allready wet anyway!)

The weather was great too! Plenty warm to swim. December can be iffy!

We are going back this year, and are planning to fly out of Manchester. THe flights are really cheap!

Anyway, good luck and happy planning....

I can't decide for you so I say go both times and let us know which one is better! There it is settled now, wasn't that easy? And SnowWhite says I am indecisive? Right? What do you think? Well maybe.....alittle......ok maybe alot...I am not really sure. :confused3 We have been done there during march break and didn't really find it terribly busy. Mind you that was in the 90's, 94 and 95. Never been there at christmas time but plan on a trip in the next two years! :sunny:

We will start planning our next trip for next Christmas when we get back in Nov. from this trip. I am thinking BCV for next time!!!!!!!! And definately the Christmas party as well. I am really hoping that 16 years ago alot of people had a bunch of kids!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need the money ......... :rotfl:
