Snowmageddon!

In Mahomet, IL we ended up with about 2-3 inches of sleet and 7 inches of snow, not as bad as the 12-18 inches they were predicting. It still took us over 2 hours to shovel 1 side of the driveway clear. So hoping they have school tomorrow. We missed two days in August from a teacher's strike, so now we will have days to make up in June.

I'm snowed in today too. The plows are just now getting into our neighborhood. So I have the Disney Channel movie marathon on while I'm wishing I was at WDW or on the Dream.

I just hope that they don't call another day off of school tomorrow b/c the make-up days at the end of the school year are going to start creeping toward the start of my WDW trip in June.

I have to add asI was shoveling once again this morning w/ DH as it continued to snow then sleet back to snow and rain...he said" May 29th"....it made me smile!! He said just keep thinking of that! We'll be cruising before you know it.
well, it can't come soon enough, and I hate wishing time away but I am DONE with all this snow and now we have the ice to deal with!!

Heritage Hall. I think we have five days built in. And just like you tomorrow will be our fourth total day. With more snow expected monday, i'm thinking more snow days are headed our way!

Well, we got about 17 inches of snow!! School has been cancelled the rest of the week. So I am not going back to work until Monday. Crazy Chicago!! Cars have been stranded on Lakeshore Drive for 24 hours. Hope everyone is hanging in there and staying safe. Take care.

Just got word our DD school for tomorrow is canceled for the third day this week. 17" of snow and now it's drifting - arg

What sailing in September? We are on the Dream 9/11.

We are on the Sept 25th 4 day cruise on the Dream. We got 20 inches of snow here. I'm torn on work tomorrow, I'm not sure what the roads will be like.

This week is getting long. My kids are now home for the FOURTH day in a row. I don't think this has ever happened since they've been in school (they are 14 and 16 now). I thought we would have school today, but the wind blew all night so the roads drifted in again, and it's still only about 5 degrees so the windchills are bad. At least now the school administration has moved "Snow Week" festivities to next week!

I'm hopeful that tomorrow, there will actually be school!

So far the word is that I have School tomorrow. Bad Idea imo because the two streets needed to access the school are HORRIBLE(they didn't get plowed) add 400 teenage drivers to that and what do you get? BAD THINGS! Hopefully they will change their mind in the morning.

No school for the 3rd day in a row...Chicagoland suburbs. I guess they couldn't get all the parking lots plowed for tomorrow. I am really bummed!!! Now we will be going to school through the 2nd week of June... I had hoped to be on a cruise by June 7 or 8 (we hadn't booked one yet, thankfully) but now we will have to wait ...there still could be more snow days of course! Hang in there everyone!!

I'm also in the Northwest Chicago suburbs and we DO have school tomorrow. We are starting 30 minutes late, but we are starting. I know, I could be one of the only happy people about this.

This makes me extremely happy because that was 2 snow days already and I can only hit 3 days and my trip won't be possible.

Soooo, I need no more snow days or cold days.

So... My school is the ONLY school open in OKC today! We all got here at 8am and at 9am it started to snow! And none of my teachers want to do anything, So i'll be hanging out with you all today!

Looks that way! Do you even have any students today? You must not be considered an OKCity school if you're open. Is it a charter school?

Willow Brook is in MWCity but is under OKCity jurisdiction. We're off of NE 10th and Midwest Blvd.

We are a private school and they said that you would receive an unexcused absence if you don't show up, so most are here. Many were late. We can't really accomplish anything either. So, I don't know why we are here!
