Snowglobes

I leave later this week for my first trip to WDW in a few years. I'm meeting my parents and a friend of mine from Europe. My friend collects snowglobes, and I am bringing her a couple.

I wasn't planning on checking any bags, but I just realized I have the showglobes, and I'm now concerned about them and security and liquids.

Has anyone traveled with snowglobes in carry-on luggage, or do I have to check abag to bring them?

I am a huge snowglobe collector aswell and have researched this a bit already since I want to buy one (or two, or three...) next year when we go on our Disney Cruise. You are going to have to mail it home. I am pretty nervous about it because they aren't cheap and I worry that they may break!

Yes on the NOT allowed on a carry-on so Checked only.

I'm not sure of the price or how abouts to ship over seas but when we ship them home Disney is very good at making sure they show up intact. If not they are very good at sending out another one. Thats a good peice of mind for the little it cost to ship them (with the No tax offset).

If your talking about bringing ones you already have it might be better to ship them as well instead of checking or at least double box them with some newspapaer between the two boxes.
