We survived! Sarah - I'll try not to be offended you didn't want to be in MN this Christmas! :) We did have one party unable to make it to our house yesterday - SIL and her hubby. They live more in the country, so it was difficult for them to get out. My parents had to wait until 10 to get plowed out (townhome association). We had a great day! This is what we did between food fests!

YAY :woohoo: for the Sony Cyber Shot! I hope you love it as much as I love mine!!

The Wii was a big hit here too! The boys have been playing it for 2 days straight!

Yeah, certainly no offense meant... just the idea of snow + 1 foot + 2 crutches sounds difficult for me!

I spent the day at home, leg up, and I didn't hurt. it was a nice change. That said, my mom and I are going to be driving across the state to go to a yarn store. Oh, the things we do for the word "sale"! It's probably a very bad idea, given the crutches, but... well. Oh well!

We're flying home on Tuesday - which is DTW. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the trip isn't miserable, given the recent attempted terrorist attack.

We are all sore from Wii-ing too! :cool1: DH actually made himself a sling to help his poor shoulder feel better! I told him should lay off the Tennis for a while! :lmao: I totally kicked his butt at Wii bowling AND Carnival games the other night! SO MUCH FUN!!! :goodvibes

Love the pics of the snow Sheree! We have about the same here too! DH just took the girls sledding so I could have some peace and quiet for a few... :)

Merry Christmas (a little late). Sounds like everyone has had a fantastic holiday. Ours was busy but so enjoyable. Dh surprised me with a diamond necklace with three diamonds, one for each of the "men" in my life. That, on top of my quick Disney trip, made my holiday that much mor special.

Chase's first Christmas was pretty uneventful. He had as much fun as any 6 week old baby could have. Rylan, on the other hand, had a great Christmas

I'm starting to count down the days until I can head south. Hotel accomodations have been made finally. We'll call the Hilton at DTD home for two nights, with just two days at Disney. I don't care. I'm just happy to be going at all. I have nothing really to plan though. I tried to get a reservation at Chef Mickeys but had no luck. We'll just have to catch it in 2011. Can't wait to start planning THAT trip.

Sounds like lots of you got a Wii for Christmas this year. We love ours! Ry got w Wii Fit, along with several new games. O think going to have to get myself Toy Story Mania. :)

We got the Wii last year and we got Toy Story Mania this year. The boys hooked the Wii up to the big screen in the basement and played this morning while I took down Christmas decorations. Andy said it was a blast!!

We've stayed in our jammies all day. I really need to clean and get some laundry done so we'll have something to wear this week, but I'd rather sit here watching Spiderman 3 with my boys!

I haven't been on in a while, but I do have exciting news:

I GOT A PROMOTION!!
:banana::banana::yay:

That's very exciting!

I actually have some sad news. We found out last week that one of the cadets at K-State died in a car crash on Monday. I guess she was on her way home for the holidays driving on a two-lane highway when an oncoming vehicle pulling a trailer pulled into her lane to pass another vehicle and hit her head on. She was only 22 years old, planning on graduating with a dual major in May.
Logan and I were going to go to the funeral waaaay out in western Kansas, but the weather made it too difficult. They did a convoy out from the school, but we were already at my parents', so we would have had to brave the weather all alone. It's a 7 hour drive, one-way. Logan's commanding officer told him not to go. Instead we're going to give a donation, basically in the amount of how much it would have been to drive out there and stay in a hotel, to help her family with the funeral costs.

Other than that my Christmas has been good. We spent actual Christmas with my family, then came out to spend a couple days with Logan's. We'll head back home tomorrow, so Logan can work on Tuesday.

Kim...I totally whipped Mike at Bowling too!! ha!! My arm is KILLING me!! I need to slack off a bit when i throw that darn bowling ball! ha!!! Church was awesome today...spent yesterday in pjs most of the day.....sorry to see Mike go back to work tomorrow...but, he'll be off a few days again this week....so it'll be fun!!! Maybe by then, we will have moved on to some different Wii games!!

Hello everyone. So glad to hear that everyone had a great Christmas. On Saturday, we drove to Syracuse to celebrate with my mom's side of the family and then yesterday we had brunch with my dad's side of the family. It's so good to be home today!!

I got my DH the new Mario Bros for the Wii and him and Maddie have been playing it nonstop! My mom got Maddie Family Game Night 2 and we played that last night. It's so much fun!!! She also got TONS of new games for her DS and hasn't even had the time to try them all out yet. She adores her Just Like You American Girl doll that we got her and has been bringing her everywhere. My mom made her some pj's and a bathrobe for the doll and bought her a few outfits too. She is just loving it!!! Maddie also got a bunch of "retro" things like Rock Em Sock Em Robots, a Light Brite and Twister!!!! She got more board games then I even know what to do with!

My FIL got me a new ipod nano and it is awesome!!! My DH got me some very nice sweaters from Express. My mom got me a new frying pan that I've wanted for a very long time. It really deep with high sides and can go in the oven. Nice! My little sis got me a crockpot. FINALLY!!!! I've never had one so I'm pretty pumped about it. My older sis got me a new 9x13 Pyrex dish that I badly needed too. Overall, we had a fantastic Christmas. I think Madison got every single thing on her list this year. She was just so grateful for everything. :goodvibes

Meghan - sounds like youhad a great Christmas. But I have one question? How did you get married and not get a crock pot??? I thought it was a mandatory gift! :) I think I got 3 of them when we got married! LOL. Actually I'd like a new one that is more programmable than just off/lo/hi.
We had a great Christmas - played lots of Wii too. We now have Wii Sports Resort - a blast!, Mario party 8 (crazy) and TSMM. I'm not sure about TSMM - it's more confusing to navigate to me, I need more time with it! But we've had so much fun and food lately, it was almost relaxing to come to work today. Well, I said "almost!"
I hope to start my TR tonight after work, and will post the link here as well as on a few others' TRs. I have been dreaming about WDW, sweet cream cheese pretzels, and thinking about what I will write so I guess that's a sign that I better start it!

Well, it's off and running (well crawling!)
Come join me on my TR! The link is in my siggie. I'm so proud that I got it to work! Thanks Lady Lallie!

Please!

We didn't get one! That said, we got weird stuff when we got married. Nothing normal, like crockpots or towels, but we're well set with things like ice cream makers (that we've never used and have had for nearly 10 years!).

We are home, hooray! We had a brief trip to my parents, which was enough. They live in a two story house with steep stairs so it was difficult to get around on crutches. It's nice to be back in my one floor house. We also had a lovely Christmas. For presents, my parents got me a cashmere sweater. I've ALWAYS wanted one. They also got me winter shoes from Lands End, which will be great. (For starters, I can wear them now... for seconds, I don't have to wear my hiking boots all the time any more)

I still want Toy Story Midway Mania for our Wii. Maybe I'll ask someone for it for my birthday. I did get Up, however! I've already watched my copy, despite having seen it just at Thanksgiving. :)

Hi!!!! I am on my hubbys laptop...mine is in the shop! Horror of horrors...possibly 3 weeks:scared1: do they NOT know I need to DIS? Wow...so I will stop in when I can....TR will definitely have to wait now..all pics are on my laptop....Please God...don't let them lose them!!!!!! I really do need it by next week..my boys' math program is on there...I do NOT want to have to reload it.......talk to you all soon!! Hope you all have a

party: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! party:

Well I'm a little late to tell everyone Merry Christmas and even more late to say Happy Hanukkah! :lmao: So I will just say Happy almost New Year and leave it at that. ;)

Glad to hear everyone had such great holidays!

Becca- Sorry to hear about your loss. So sad for her family, especially around the holidays.

Shawna- Crossing my fingers your pics are all on your computer when you get it back! :sad2:
