Thank you so much for all the prayers and positive thoughts...results are in and they're NEGATIVE!!!
Andy works at the hospital and called in a favor to the head of radiology who said the radiologist was there and he would have it read immediately and sent up to the Dr's office. Andy also knows all the girls who work in the office and we took turns calling to harass them to see if they were in yet. I finally got a call about 1130 that everything was fine! Then the doc himself called a few hours later to explain that he thought the first one was fine but the radiologist saw something that could be a blood clot, so that why they did the MRV. So again, thanks for the prayers! I knew I could count on my Snowbirds!!!

That is amazing news!! I'm so glad you got a negative report back. I have had to wait for results like that and time seems to come to a stop. It does make it easier if you can get them early like that. My mother in law works at the hospital I use, and has been a patient of my old doctor for 20 years. I had been able to get early results several times thanks to her.

It was a good idea, because it keeps him from being too disappointed when he doesn't get what he wanted on Christmas morning. It's great that Santa updated his database though, and it gets to be a surprise.

That's great! My DS has an extremely loose tooth. I told him it needs to come out before Christmas because the Tooth Fairy and Santa don't work on the same night! He thought that was hysterical!

HA! I love that! People (moms!) are so clever! Yesterday my kids went with my parents for a while and my mom was supposed to call me when they were on their way home. Well, I'm down in the office wrapping gifts for the kids when I hear the garage door open!! Yup, it's them and my mom forgot to call!! So I throw all the stuff in the closet in the office and go upstairs. We had painted the bathroom in the morning so they all went up to check it out. Unfortunately, I had left a few little gifts on my bed, stocking stuffers and one Wii game. Sarah sees it and says, Mom, What's this stuff??? I shoo her away and gather it up all fast and say "toys for tots!" Of course we'd already given some at their school...I doubt toys for tots wants bubble gum and fuzzy socks! I'm pretty sure she didn't buy it. Not sure if Paige saw or not. So now I have to just give them to the girls as a regular gift. must go find something else to put in their stockings with the candy and toothbrushes that they didn't see!

Sheree~Well Dang!!!! I hate that! Mike has done that to me how many times? I tell him to call me EVERY time I wrap...the last two times he didnt call...thank goodness I was up in the school room and could shut the door...usually I am wrapping on our kitchen table!

So I just got off the phone with my sister, and asked her if she'd be willing to drive down to Disney when we're visiting in February, because we can get the discounted military tickets...
We've basically decided that it will be a last minute decision, because we're both pregnant, and we don't know if we'll be up to a 7 hour drive at that point in our pregnancies, but I'm still excited. It means that I would get to spend some of my sister time at Disney! Then I don't have to feel guilty about going to Disney and seeing her less before we leave for Korea.

I haven't been on in a while, but I do have exciting news:

I GOT A PROMOTION!!


I had applied for a job in my current department that I was eminently qualified for (in fact, more qualified than the woman who currently has the same job; this was an additional position). But, because of a lot of political reasons - I play politics VERY badly - I figured I wouldn't get it.

BUT I DID!!

Can you tell I'm excited? Now I don't have to feel guilty about my trip to Europe in the spring. Even though it's not my holiday, it's a great Christmas present (or belated Chanukah present?)

And who else would I celebrate than with my Snowbirdies??

Hope everyone is in full swing for the holidays! Today was Drew's last day of school so I was able to take off a little early to go to his Christmas party. (He's at Catholic school, so they actually celebrate "CHRISTmas.") He's off until Jan 4th now! We baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies Saturday, and I GUESS the Christmas elf got hungry because they're all gone. So after me and the boys finish eating frozen pizza (only fine dining at my house ), then we're going to make another batch of cookies, dip the truffles and make some of those peanut butter-on-Ritz cracker-dipped-in-white-chocolate cookies/crackers/things. YUM! That elf better save some for me!
