Well, alas, I did not win anything in the cross-stitch fabric contest. And life goes on. And I can't say I needed any cross-stitch fabric anyway BUT it would have been nice.

The second place winner in the large category is very impressive, though, and she's a very nice person so all I can do is shrug.

And be jealous of snykymom's 30 days. I HAVE THIRTY NINE UNFAIR.

We managed a heat index of 104 today! I spent the day in my AC'd house, thank you, and I still managed a heat migraine. Luckily the migraine kicked in AFTER I finished my cross-stitching for the day.

We're now watching the pro bowl game. Uhoh - football season has begun!

Congrats on your ADRs Shelly!! Today was my good friend Paula's ADR day and she was able to get everything she wanted including...Chef Mickey, Ohana's, LeCellier, and the Fantasmic Dining Package...it was a great ADR morning!!! Glad you were able to get what you wanted too!!!

Totally OT...what brand/type of scales do ya'll use? Mine broke a few months back and I am glad I don't have any...it's depressing. But, I am trying to lose some weight before vacation...and dh is starting to work out again. so, I need something to be realistic!! I don't mind investing in some that are really good. Any ideas?

Hey Snowbird Friends!

Well, we are home again once more! We had a great time visiting with my husband's family! The girls had a great time with their cousins and we enjoyed lots of great memories and funny moments! Tomorrow is crazy day and getting ready to take DD8 out to sleep away camp on Tuesday. Life never stops for those of us who are busy busy busy! We had a great time but are glad to be home!

I can't believe some of you are so close to your trips- I can't wait to say I'm that close!

I'm having a good day- kids are napping. DH got his truck running yesterday We're heading to Carmax tonight to try and trade it in before anything else goes wrong with it. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll give us enough for the trade to cover what we still owe on it so we don't have to roll any of the old loan into the loan for the new car.

I'm debating about something and would value your opinions-

What do you think about bringing Belle to T-Rex or Rainforest? She loves dinos and animals. I think T-Rex may be a little too scary, but I've not actually ever been inside. What do yall think?

they are both pretty intense! It's not just that the animals are so big... but it is SO loud in there...then periodically they do the earthquake thing where the lights flash and the animals roar. If you could get a seat in a quieter area, she might be okay... but it's loud even to me. I asked my kids and there opinion is as follows--the 13 yo said no way, the 10 yo said, yeah, but not by a big animal or where it's loud and the 6yo says, not T-Rex, RFC. So..there you have.. from a kid!! Ha!!!! If you do go, bring her a sweater,,, those are some of the coldest places ever!!

Oh, Magical Express...

So my TA said she had put in my address, my friend's address, and our flight information, for the ME.

Today, my friend calls me and says "Um. So, there's mail here, at my address, addressed to you."
"That's pretty funny!"
"Oh, it gets better."
"uh-oh."
"They've put down my flight information, both ways, for both of us. And to make it worse, they have it on the 17th."

She's arriving on the 18th. I'm arriving on the 17th. I'm arriving late, she's arriving early.

We have 38 days to get it straightened out, but it really is a




In other news, my surgeon replied ... last night at 10:30. I've written back, so now I'm waiting for him. AGAIN.

My physical therapist suggested that I talk to the surgeon about injections (probably cortisone or Synvisc) as a stop-gap measure, so I can have pain relief and more fun at Disney. Hopefully he'll agree to that... whenever I see him!

I would say hold off on both for now! It is INCREDIBLY loud in those places! We did both on our trip and my DD5 was having a hard time with the noises! I would recommend waiting another year!

HI FRIENDS!!

We did have a great trip! Yes we have been really busy this summer! I can't believe that the girls go back to school in only 3 weeks! I purposely took the summer off to spend time with them but I feel like I have hardly seen them!

We are planning one last tiny trip this summer - our annual trek to the InLaws for the Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival! DD8 caught her first fish last year with her Dad and Grandpa and won a prize! That will actually be the weekend after school starts as we go back to school BEFORE Labour Day this year! After that we are driving down to Ottawa for a Family Wedding with DH parents. The girls will be missing a few days of school but I don't feel bad because we are visiting our Country's Capitol City!

We are holding off as long as possible before booking anything for January! We have pretty much decided that we will go but will wait to the very last minute before booking! We are all pretty okay with taking whatever resort is left! As long as it isn't a value! DH insists on nothing less than a MOD!

Thanks for the welcomes home and I hope that all of my snowbird friends are having a great time planning upcoming trips!

Hi all! I'm up late waiting for Jason to get home from Carmax with our Ford Explorer!!!! He spent the past 2 weeks fixing the truck which only cost us about $500 in parts and we traded it before anything else goes wrong with it. I'm just amazed at how things work out. They gave us less than we owe for the truck but even with rolling in the leftovers our payment is less than the truck payment. Last week I was panicking we were going to take a huge loss and be stuck moneywise shelling out thousands for a new diesel engine. Tonight I'm saying so many thankful prayers that things have all worked out this way. God is surprising and sometimes I just need that little reminder to chill out and leave it in His hands.

Oh and the highlight from the evening was when Andrew told me he wants to take Daddy's new red car instead of Mommy's tan minivan the next time we go to Disney World- his is a prettier color. He talks everyday about going back and every day I tell him it costs lots of money and that it will be a looong time before we go again. I'm so excited to surprise them at Christmas!

Did you get the one for Oct-Nov? I just got one tonight and it is very tempting- 30% off Value and 40% off Mod and Deluxe. I'm still holding out for January but I think it's a good sign that I'm getting so many like Disney is struggling to fill those rooms

Rainforest scared the pants off my DS when he was 2 so I would hold off for a little bit if I were you. There's always next trip when she's a bit older!

Soleil~ Do you like DTD? We have started going over there our first day after we check into the room...kids like to eat there and start scoping out stuff at the BIG Disney store!!! I think they still have that little store where you can make a T-shirt and some new stuff...isn't that Trend-D store over there? Meghan went ...she knows where it is!! If its warm, maybe let her swim. I also think we are gonna check out the movie theater over there (DTD) and see what disney shows are playing! If you don't do HDDR, what about La Nouba? Or do you think that might scare her? I haven't been yet...just watched the dvd...maybe someone can tell you about that. How are your house plans going?

Well my Friends - it's decision time! Flights from MSP were released today for late January and they are at an incredible rate! $600 CD roundtrip for the four of us! The seat sale is only on until midnight friday so we have to decide THIS WEEK! Airfare is the one thing we CAN'T cancel, so if we book airfare - We are committed! I am so excited! I want to go SO BADLY!!!

Hello everyone! I'm so messed up this week. We're doing overnights at work because we are doing a completely new set up for one half of the store, then before the Christmas season we have to do the other half.

But on good news...I got my new computer today!!!! It goes so fast...of course now in the morning I don't have time to turn it on then get my coffee while I wait for it to start up, but I think I'll learn how to deal with that.
