Oooo I'll take that number too. We'll get the answers out of him...:):rolleyes1

~Soleil, CONGRATULATIONS!! You must be so excited! Does Bella understand at all what's going on?

Haha!! The poor man! Could you imagine?! ;)

Did I tell you gals that he and my husband had a disagreement about how to describe the possible osteotomy? In the end, what it does is shift the weight bearing in the knee from one side to the other. And it does it by opening (in my case - it can close in the other) a wedge to change the pattern, which my husband told the doctor was "regular old physics." The surgeon replied "What? Physics? No..." He then paused and said "Wait! You called me a physisict! I'll take it!"

Okay, funnier when I was there. But it was this total moment of nerdness when my world class best of the best orthopaedic surgeon went "oooh, I was called a physisict! I'll take it!" Gotta love the nerds!

 I love MY nerd! (in undergrad, he had a double major of math and astronomy and a minor in, well, physics... being one class shy of a triple major!)

OH!! Disney related! I was able to get a pair of one day park hoppers for my upcoming trip and since the cost difference for reducing my package was so small, I invited my elementary school best friend to come visit and SHE IS! I'm so thrilled! My friend, that I'm going with, is arriving Friday afternoon and I'm arriving Thursday night, so my school pal and I will be able to hang out on Friday! I wouldn't have asked the FL friend to come hang out without being able to give her a ticket because it is an expensive trip for her otherwise!!

I love cruising; I've done it many times. I may be odd, but I really enjoy all the on-board activities, so I like extra days at sea. :rotfl: Yeah, OK, I know I'm odd.

Excursions: The 4 and up age limit is not about size, and it's not about maturity level. It's about insurance. Insuring those under 4 for some excursions can be ridiculously expensive. My guess is that they'll have his age on record and will be cross-checking; it's all done by computer in the database. You can ask, but it's not worth lying about Keaton's age. (And the "free" part is nice, too.)

That's exactly what I wanted to know...THANKS! I just didn't know if anyone actually checked, like if the excursion companies were seperate from the cruise. That helps alot...as long as I know in advance, I'm fine either way...I just have to have the PLAN! There really weren't any that I was DYING to take him on, there were just a few Jeep ride excursions that I thought our family would enjoy, but we'll just have to plan something else! We stop at 6 different ports in 7 days, we'll probably do excursions at 3 of them. I want to try Parasailing (Drew wants to try it with me), I want to let the kids snorkel and play on the beach (they've never seen a beach), and Andy wants to do a submarine or SNUBA thing, which he's on his own, I'm way too clausterphobic for that! Plus those excursions are flippin' expensive!

Soliel~that home looks GORGEOUS!!! You guys must be SO excited!!

As some of you may know (and many of you may NOT care), I'm a cross-stitcher. One of the companies that hand dyes fabrics has a contest annually, more or less, where we enter the stuff we stitched on their fabric. They just posted their finalists and I made it in two categories! YAY! I'm so excited!!

Being a finalist gets me nothing, except glory (or something), but it's always neat that someone else thinks your stitching and fabric choices are good.

In the small category: http://www.silkweaver.com/showcases/2009/2009smallfinalists.htm mine is Santa Paws towards the bottom half of the page.

In the large category: http://www.silkweaver.com/showcases/2009/2009largefinalists.htm mine is the very last one, Winter Queen.

Winners announced tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

WOW! They are amazing! How do you have the patience to do that???

Soleil- that's a lovely lot my dear!!!!! Can't wait to see it become your home:goodvibes

Sarah- congrats on having your friends join you on your trip- it's gonna be a wild time at Disney then! I'll be crossing my fingers for your crosstitch contest. My mom is an avid crosstitcher so I definitely understand the time and work you put into them- they're beautiful!

Hey, cruising has something for everyone!

My parents just got back from an Alaskan cruise (that I forced them to go on, mind, as much as I can force my parents to do anything) and they were CONvinced they'd HATE the sea days. HATE them.
How can you not like being trapped on a boat where they're constantly offering you refills?:confused3

I want to try Parasailing (Drew wants to try it with me), I want to let the kids snorkel and play on the beach (they've never seen a beach)

Snorkeling is so much fun! The one time I did it the water was a little murky, but I still saw soo many little fishies swimming around. It was great fun!
On the cruise I went on with my family, we got to pick one excursion each, then we had another one that we were supposed to go on with the whole family. We never got to do the second excursion, because the water was too choppy on our last port day, so we never docked.

I have NO IDEA! I can't even sit still through a movie yet I can do MASSIVE CROSS STITCH PROJECTS. Though, for Winter Queen, I gotta tell ya, I was never so happy to be done since the colors were "pale blue, light blue, blue, medium blue, dark blue" and "white, pale grey, medium grey, medium dark grey, and dark grey." Ohhh man!!

Thank you! I have a whole bucket full of completed projects that I've done nothing with, yet. Maybe someday I'll win the lottery!

...would it be rude to ask my friend from Tampa to bring me a case of water (which I will pay her back for)?

Well, 1991 was, like, 3 generations ago in the cruise world! I made them get a balcony room which I think helped a lot.

Our cruise next June has *4* sea days and it's for our 10th anniversary, dang nabbit, and if we can't afford a suite, we can afford some booze! ;)

Well ladies as it turns out I will be another January Snowbird this year!! I will be going January 14th through the 19th with a friend of mine!!! I decided I needed to make use of my AP one more time and this year we are getting 2 days off for MLK day so I will only need to take 1 day off from work!! My AP will take me through the trip and then I will have completed my year of my AP making the most of it!! This will definitely be my last trip until we move to Austin...then the next scheduled trip will be Nov 2011 LOL!!!!

Sarah- I don't think it's rude as long as you are willing to share! :goodvibes

Jen- Hooray You're going to be a Snowbird again!!!!! :thumbsup2 I need to get me one of those AP's and then convince DH we NEED to get our moneys worth and go more often. On second thought, I'm pushing my luck with once a year at this point. ;)

Meghan- maybe you can convince Tony to go again once the great deals are released?:confused3

Got my ADR's this morning!

That means ~ I am going to Disney in 90 DAYS!! :dance3:

:cool1::woohoo::cool1::woohoo::cool1::woohoo:

I called at 6:57 knowing that it takes 2-3 minutes to get through all the prompts. But unfortunately that little plan didn't work so well. I got a recording saying that business hours started at 7:00. :rotfl: Called back at 7:00, went through all the prompts and at 7:03 I was told that my expected wait time was "under 9 minutes". And about 19 minutes later I finally got to talk to someone! But I managed to get most of my reservations within about 15 minutes of the time I wanted. A few within 30 minutes. And one I had to take a whole hour from what I wanted. All in all not too bad!

Shelly...Good for you!!!! I only hope I remember to get up in time on my ADR day., ha!!!! Glad you got all the places you wanted. And YIPPEE for you to be at 90 days!!!!

Congrats on your ADRs Shelly!! Today was my good friend Paula's ADR day and she was able to get everything she wanted including...Chef Mickey, Ohana's, LeCellier, and the Fantasmic Dining Package...it was a great ADR morning!!! Glad you were able to get what you wanted too!!!

Congrats, Shelley! And I just wanted to post that I have

ONE MONTH TO GO!!!
:cheer2::cool1::banana::cool1::cheer2:
Sorry, couldn't resist!

Yay for getting ADRs!

Logan told me this morning that he had been planning on surprising me with a trip to Disney for our anniversary, so if we go in December it will have to count for that. I just laughed. It would have been hilarious if I had been able to keep my mouth shut and planned a surprise trip for his birthday, just to find out that he was planning on taking me back in January.
He said we would just renew my Annual Pass so I'd have a ticket still.
Hopefully we'll find out all our Army details in the beginning of September so I can book a trip in time for ADRs +10 on the 12th.
