Could I please ask a favor? Would those of you are inclined to do such a thing please say a prayer for a little friend of ours? She was in a pretty nasty sledding accident tonight and is in the hospital right now with a slight depression on the back of her skull. She is almost 10 yrs old and her name is Emily (no it is not my daughter!) Last I hear she was having a CAT scan done! Thanks friedns! I will keep you posted! :goodvibes

Glad to hear that she is ok. Continued prayers for her recovery!

GRATS!!!:banana::dance3::banana:

I'll have to get caught up on this thread, I'm so behind. I've been busy with school and just been in a funk. My new math class is kicking my rear. My brain feels like jello. Also, DH hasn't found a job yet, so I have stopped even thinking about a Disney trip for this year. My DH thinks it still might possibly be possible to take a trip. I would just rather think we're not going and be suprised if we can, than think we might be able to go and be depressed that we can't.
On happier new, my youngest son had his birthday and is now 11. Our favorite pizza place closed on December 21 for them to go to NJ to visit family for Christmas and then to Italy to visit family for NYE. They thought they would open back up around the January 8th - 10th. Well everyday they were closed John asked for Chelsea's pizza, and I kept telling him they were closed. He finally said, "all I want for my birthday is Chelsea pizza". Well luckily they opened back up on the 8th, and he got to have his birthday dinner of Chelsea's pizza. He was so happy. We spent my birthday, January 10th, at my in laws. My mother in law made me homemade chili and cornbread. Then she made a vanilla cake and a chocolate cake to celebrate me and John's b-days. It was a great day. My sister in law, her youngest son and his wife, and my great nephew and his mom all came over. I haven't seen my great nephew since he was a new born and he is now 16 months. He was so cute!! This weekend we are going to my sister's house to celebrate mine and John's b-days. I think she is making chicken cheese spaghetti. For some reason my sister and father are obsessed with getting two cakes. John wanted a Sponge Bob cake. Since our bdays are so close together we just usually get one cake, which I don't mind. At least I like Sponge Bob. I remember the year we had a Power Ranger cake. Well my mom has tried to explain to them that as a mom, I would want the focus to be on John and wouldn't mind sharing a cake with him. I actually think I'm lucky to be able to share my birthday with him. Well they just dont' understand it, so my sister is going to buy John a chocolate Sponge Bob cake and me a red velvet cake.

Happy belated birthday!!! :bday: Yay for pizza and all that cake!!
I hope things improve with your DH's job situation!! I know it's tough all over in that regard. But you've got the right attitude. Sometimes I go into a situation with low expectations so I will be happily surprised rather than disappointed. Fingers crossed for you to be able to take another trip soon!!

Happy Birthday to you and your DS!:banana:

Happy belated birthday!!! :bday: Yay for pizza and all that cake!!
Thank you both. Now I just have to wait for March 12, so my hubby and I will be the same age again. Until then I will have to put up with his teasing about me being "an older woman" and that I "robbed the cradle".

He's officially been without a job for a year. He didn't start looking for a job last year until about May though. He wanted to finish his first Master's before looking. He's an IT guy, and that field has really been hit.

I'm so glad she's okay. Just last week a girl from around here was killed in a sleeding accident. Their sled ran into a small building at the bottom of the hill. So sad.

Yea Drakes!

(oh no! Disco Dale is back!) :headache:

Who let Disco Dale out!

We just received the email about our Give a Day Get a Day volunteer service being completed... it says we shoudl receive our email from Disney within two weeks!!!!!

Everything I've seen is that the email comes within a few days! We've got 3 of our 6 blankets done that we're doing for Project Linus through this program. DS just loves sitting and doing the knotting of them while he's watching TV. We're not telling him about the trip, so he thinks we're doing something good for the kids at the hospital (he's such a good kid), which ultimately is the best part of the Give a Day Get a Day program.

Drakes- Glad to hear you're out of your funk!!!! Happy Single Digit Day!!!!! I'm at 7 today and am bouncing off the walls!!!!! Well quietly bouncing since it's naptime and 6 kids are sleeping in the same room.

Wookie/Kim- All I have to say is YUM...red velvet cake!

NDG/Kim- So sorry to hear about Emily but am glad it wasn't too serious! Sending my prayers that she continues to recover well.

Hey Kim (Monny)--I just noticed on your ticker that you are leaving SOON!! :cool1::cool1::banana::banana:
Did you tell us about surprising your kids for Christmas? Did I miss that? :confused3
I did a little short post but put all of it in my PTR- I'll go back and look up which page but it may not have pics left. A Big Thank You to photobucket for that one. :headache: I'll try and post some if you missed it. The surprise went well but they didn't really get it at first. They were more excited about the balloons than anything :lmao:

Is everyone entering daily in the new WDW trip give away? I enter daily by text and on line. I need to get my DH registered so he can enter.

Uh...NO! Do tell!!!:confused3

oh it's no big deal at all....really...I mean it's only a 5 day/ 4 night trip with air fare. Worst of all they force you to sleep one of the nights in the Cinderella Castle suite....the horror!!:scared1:

Thanks for the reminder!! I've entered a couple times, but I usually forget to do it daily. I guess if they forced me I could spend a night or so in the castle.

That's the kind of torture that I would gladly line up for. When I read the resctrictions to my DH he said, "What do you mean you have to take the trip by May 1, 2011? If you won, you'ld call them and be like so can I fly out today or what?":lmao:
