So...we've pretty much decided to book for Nov 7-12. It's a day shorter than I would like, but there's less of a chance that anything crazy will happen. Logan is supposed to be booking his flight to Korea today. We're hoping they'll let him fly out of Kansas City instead of St. Louis, but we shall see. Depending on the timing of the flight, we might fly him back to St. Louis, instead of Kansas City, because it would be cheaper.

Interestingly enough, while I was looking up airfare I found that if he books a flight from MCO-MCI there's a flight with a stop (change planes) in St. Louis that's cheaper than the nonstop flight to St. Louis without the Kansas City leg. Weird. It would be nice if he could book the full flight, then the baby could use his seat on the plane to Kansas City, but I expect they would cause problems about that at the airport, even if he "missed" the flight.

DO IT!!!
Not that I'm an enabler or anything...
:lmao: I agree... book it Dan-o!!!!

I want to go back next year SO bad, but Tony says no. :sad1: Maybe if I make enough in commission this coming year we can go back!!! That would be awesome!

My darling husband says "no more money out of the household fund for trips" so I said what if I come up with extra money on my own... "then do with it as you like" he says... so I started subbing at the local Jr. High... first pay check paid for half of my December trip (going Dec 31-Jan7th)... and should have the second have paid off with the next check!!! So they way I figure it... I can almost afford a single trip per month with just my sub pay!!! or 20 days of subbing will pay for a family trip....

We are there Nov 5-12...:banana::banana::banana::banana: so glad his orders came thru ..... we sent 23 years active duty so I understand your frustrations!!!!

I was talking with my daughter today and she went to the introduction of Duffy the Bear today at Epcot... had a ball... she was taking photos of Duffy in all the countries... if I understand it correctly Minnie gave Mickey this teddy bear so that when he was traveling he would have someone to keep him company... hence Duffy... Maggie sent me photos... Duffy had a Mickey head tatoo just like mine!!!

Happy Thursday, Snowbirds! I'm ready for the weekend! I love hearing about all of these trips being booked!

Heading to Pittsburgh this weekend to celebrate my the 65th wedding anniversary of Matt's grand parents. Quite a milestone, if you ask me. We have so many great role models. My parents (43 years), Matt's parents (40 years) . . .

Hope you all have a great weekend :)

Awwww...now I want a Duffy for Gideon!

Airfare is officially booked. I'm planning to call in the morning to make our resort ressie. I checked availability earlier today, and there was some for both POR and CBR with a King Bed. Logan wants to stay at CBR, so that makes the decision a little easier for me. I have to call, because they have the wrong address attached to our pin. I hate making phone calls.

What time do they open in the morning?

I made ADRs for the Brown Derby and the Plaza for our Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom days respectively. Both lunches. I'm leaving Epcot and Animal Kingdom open, because AK doesn't really have many TS options (we'll probably do picnic in the park) and Epcot has the Food & Wine festival, so we'll probably snack throughout the day.

Congrats Becca!!!!:woohoo::cheer2: I know you are excited!! And yep...Gideon needs a Duffy to go with his little first pair of Mickey Ears!!!!!!!
the crazy Disney dreams attacked again last night...so my subconscience knows we are getting close!

WOW!! Congrats all the way around!! Post us some pics too please!!! We will never get to Disneyland!!! (at least I don't think we will!!) Have an awesome trip!!!

Duffy bear is adorable. He looks a lot like the My First Disney Bear that Andrew has from his first trip to Disney. I wish I'd have known that they were being discontinued or I would have bought one for Emily and as backups! Andrew took a pair of scissors to him a while back and I looked him up on eBay to see if I could get another one- he's worth a couple hundred dollars now!!!! If I'd have known I would have bought them all and be a rich lady today! I sewed him right back up after seeing those prices and he still sleeps with him every night. He's already got him in his backpack ready for camping!

Not long now Shawna!! :woohoo:

Have a great weekend in Pittsburgh Mindy!

Hello Kim & everyone else! Have a great weekend everyone!

Kim... they do look the same... Maggie said the new Duffy bears were $25 (lucky for us she has a cast memeber discount though!!!)

Anyone have any suggestions on how to travel on the plane with a pumpkin pie? Maggie doesn't like cake but she loves pumpkin pie... the thing she says she misses most being in FLorida is the fall (leaves, apple picking, pumpkin pies) So I was thinking of making her a pumpkin pie and bringing it down ..... just not sure about how to travel with it and if I will be able to get it thru airport screening....

Call your airport and ask...they are all so picky!!!

Yeah...they have weird rules about stuff. My aunt once brought some peanut butter and crackers. They made her spread the peanut butter onto the crackers before they let her through.

Usually with food its for consumption on the plane, but you might be able to get by with it.

Ooooh...I just found the answer on the tsa website...apparently its a common question, and it is allowed.

So I am having a VERY bad day....we went to the airport ready to leave for Disneyland and we found out that our twins passorts has expired :confused3 apparently they were only good for 3 years not 5 like the rest of the family :confused3 so we were not allowed on the airplane :sad1: Hopefully we can get a temp. passport on Monday and maybe on a flight Monday night...we don't know :sad2: Hopefully you all are having a much better day ;)
