Hey Kathy!! I know I also hate when I don't have a ticker...maybe make one for something else...like how long you have left in Belgium...Or is that tooooo long?!!! Or do you even know? We will be coming in the last weekend of F&W..that Saturday actually, and we just kinda hang out that first day-unpack,swim, SLEEP!!! Especially this year...we have a super early flight!:scared1: And I think our first full day is gonna be MK,so I will not see Epcot until the F&W is over....several people on the Nov thread are going to be there for it....I didn't even know those 2 food booths were there! I guess because we always miss it I don't pay attention.
Can y'all believe that Sept is 1/2way gone already! It's the 15th for cryin out loud!!!! Of course, if I didn't have a trip coming up, it would have been draaaaggiing to this point!

Great Disneyland pics!! My mom and little sis went there a year or so ago and I loved looking at their pics. I will go there someday!!!

One week from today I'll be flying to Orlando!!!! :cool1:

I just asked Logan if we should go to Disneyland instead of Disney World and he said no, if we;re going anywhere it has to be disney world

there's a rumor going around that they've closed the waiting list for camp casey in korea. apparently they want to get all the people already on it over before they add anyone else. we arent on it yet so i am frustrated. logan has an email out about it so who knows whats true.

we find out tomorrow if he gets into the course that will let him stay an extra month and a half

Hi all! I'm back from my annual weekend concert trip. I gotta say, my knee held up GREAT! Better than the rest of me! ;) It was over 90 degrees in Atlanta and probably as hot, indoors, which wasn't too much fun. But I got to see a lot of great bands that I love. Additionally, my husband even got me a spot, front & center on the rail, for my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BAND (this week). (They're so favorite, one of their songs in my default ringtone) It was awesome.

Then we went and saw an Atlanta Braves game, which was also great. I think we're slowly working to get to every park in the country. ;)

Now we can look forward to our cruise on the Dream! Did anyone else see that the Remy's, one of the over-18 restaurants, is $75/person? Yikes!!

Great pictures!!! Thanks for sharing!! I can't wait to leave :cool1:

Shelly, love the Disneyland pictures! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

(don't let any Disneyland regulars hear you say that their Space Mountain and Pirates are pretty similar to WDW's...they will insist that theirs are VASTLY superior...:confused3 )

ha ha...it's true...you'll get the Disneyland is the original line....but I will say that Disneyland's space mountain is better than WDW :rotfl: but for the most part WDW rides are better because they took the originals in Disneyland and made them better. Either way both parks are great for diffrent reasons...and I love them both

Well if you get over here to Miller Park in Milwaukee, you just let me know!!!! The Brewers released their 2011 schedule and they play in Boston (my favorite team). So naturally I started looking into making a little trip out of it....my friends(who are Brewer fans) might kill me....haha...oh welll!

Glad you had fun this past weekend!

I have no ticker either....:sad1: Most likely the next ticker for me won't be til summer of 2012. I'm standing in a wedding and she is getting married in Florida...so how can one go to FL and not spend some time in Disney.....

Shelly- Great pics of DL! It's so neat to see the differences between WDW and DL. Someday I'll see for myself. DH refuses to fly so it might be a while. Either that or a solo trip to California for me:laughing:.

I was feeling a little bummed this morning about not having a ticker, so I updated my signature to include my past Disney visits. It reminds me how blessed I have been to have made MANY trips in the past, and barring catastrophe there will surely be more in the future. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

So how many of you will be there this year during the Food and Wine Festival? I'm extremely interested to hear about the new booths for Belgium and South Korea! :thumbsup2
I made a ticker for a trip that's over a year away and that may or may not happen but it makes me feel better having it. :thumbsup2

:banana:Hooray for 1 Week!!!!

Ugh you must be so frustrated! Hang in there!

$75 a person! :scared1: That better be some darn good ratatouille!

Happy Wednesday Snowbirds! I'm so thankful this week is half over. :faint:
I'm exhausted- between kids being sick with a cold and parents that send them without disclosing how sick they really are :headache: I'm ready for the weekend. The little boy I care for (20 months old) has asthma and came yesterday. Mom failed to tell me that his asthma had been acting up the night before. :scared1: Don't know about you, but I find that to be pretty important info to share with your daycare provider. Half way through the day he started wheezing pretty badly. I don't provide sick care and my background is NOT in the medical field. If they are sick- don't bring them to me. Parents seem to have the wrong priorities these days. :sad2:

Oh, I better get caught up!
Yeah for one week Meghan!

Shelly - red- great DL pictures!! What a fun trip! Thank you for including the MN Twins Mickey!!!

Sarah - you have to tell us who your ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BAND is!! And let me know if you have plans to come to MN. We have partial season tickets for the Twins and could help you out if you need tickets.

Becca - what a hassle!! They like to keep you guessing and waiting, don't they? Hoping you get some answers soon!

Kim - I can't believe how rude and inconsiderate people are to their daycare providers. I worship mine!! I feel bad sending a kid with a stuffy nose!

Plutofan - I feel bad not having a ticker too. But, my DH has been doing some research and we may bump our Europe trip up to March instead of August!!! It's a HECK of a lot cheaper to fly then and DLP has some deals - kids stay and play free, buy 2 nights, get 2 free!!
We're considering staying onsite for four nights and going into Paris from there. Do you think 2 - 2.5 days in the parks is enough? Keep in mind, we don't do much for thrill rides.

I have got tons to do tonight. DH is working, so I have to take Sarah to dance and run a zillion errands and make a dip, pack up my scrapbooking stuff, do laundry, pack my bag because I'm going on a scrapbooking weekend after work tomorrow night!!! I may be up until midnight! I didn't get much of a lunch break today to run any errands, so I'll have to drag at least one kid with me tonight. I should be able to get at least one store done while Sarah's dancing.
So I'll be gone until Sunday, then Sunday afternoon my brother and I are taking the girls to the Twins game. DH will be working the Vikings game. I'll be resting at work on Monday!

Well, I *am* a Boston native, so I know your pain ;) At least they play the Tigers once a year. Though, generally in early May in the middle of a week, but, uh, hey!

I will let you know. :D

$75 a person! :scared1: That better be some darn good ratatouille!

And it doesn't include wine. Hmph. Not that I drink wine, but if I pay cruise + $75, it better be one of a kind. And on a cruise ship? ehhh.

Well, I would, but no one's heard of it. No, seriously. Their 2008 release sold 20,000 albums WORLD WIDE. Okay, it's a band called Tarot.

Here's a picture of how close I was:

Jeremy's hoping that we can get to Minneapolis next summer or fall, as he's a Vikings AND a Twins fan!! I'll be sure to let you know. :)

Logan got into his course! Now we just have to wait and find out how much time they actually give him when they re-cut his orders. THEN I can really start trying to sell Disney World for my birthday!

 Woo-hoo!! I fully support Disney for your birthday, every woman deserves that...right!!

Disney REALLY wants me to come. We got yet another pin - a room-only discount that is slightly better than the one available to the general public. The availability isn't as good though, so we would have to stay at a Deluxe...

Finally watched UP for the first time. Um...yeah I'm a cryer, so I had a few kleenexes (?) I used....:rolleyes1

Oh dear, Becca, you would HAVE to stay Deluxe? ;) What a sacrifice!
Hope it all works out! :cheer2:

I still haven't seen Up yet. :confused3 Gotta get with it!

I'm so excited that you're going to DLP! :cool1:

July and August are definitely the prime season there, both crowd-wise and cost-wise. You must be looking at the UK site for the deals--the US site never has any special promotions. :confused3 I booked through the UK site and had no trouble. When I put my address in, I used our Virginia address (where we no longer live) and left the country as UK. They don't snail-mail anything to you anyway so it doesn't matter.

Where are you thinking of staying? We've only stayed at the Davy Crockett Ranch, which is easy since we already have a car, but any of the other hotels would be more convenient. (I'm also wondering if we should try to plan a visit before DD turns 3 in January, since once we have 5 people age 3+ we won't fit anywhere other than DCR) And the train station is right by the parks and hotels--even closer than the parking lot!--so getting into Paris is super easy.

Two or two and a half days should be fine to see the parks (of course, more days is always better ;)). In March the park hours will be SHORT (maybe 10-6, 10-7), but you get EMH starting at 8:00 in the main park, and it won't be busy as long as you avoid the weekends.

Happy planning! :goodvibes

actually i looked again and they had king sized beds available at CBR just not POR, so the mods are still on the table. however, ive been crunching the numbers and free dining seems like the better deal. (i have a pin for that too) Only by $28 though, so i am really going to have to think hard about our plans.

Shelly~ UP was hard for me to watch...don't think I will ever watch it again...seriously....I just boo hooed through most of it!!! Totally depressed me!

Becca....just keep checkin that airfare...it'll drop again...you just have to be ready to snag it!!! So, have all your ducks in a row so you can make the call to Disney!! And Deluxe resorts are great!!! I am happy you got another pin!!!!:yay:

Hey Snowbirds

Just wanted to check in and say hi! :goodvibes I've been very busy subbing at the school already. Everyday this week! :upsidedow It will be nice when my first paycheck gets here and I have some extra spending money for Disney!! But man am I tired! :faint: Between work, soccer, track, and everything else this has been one crazy week.

Hope all is well in Snowbirdland! I need to go back and read and get caught up. I think I saw some DL pics in there a few pages ago!! :cool1:

Have a great weekend everyone!
