I just spent the last week+ dealing with a very sick kiddo! Sure is draining. Second week of school and he missed two days already. Double pink eye, perforated ear drum and sinus infection. This morning his belly and throat hurt . . .

We are only into day 2 of school here, so all is good so far.

Mindy - I'm sorry your son has been so sick! I've had that same problem (Sinus, eardrums...) and as an adult, it had me in tears! Hope he's on the mend!

We took Belle for her birthday in April. She had a blast. It was Princess Palooza!!!! She asks to go back weekly, but we don't have any plans for a few years.

Becca- I hope everything works out with the waiting list drama. How frustrating!

Me too!!! LOL....I do the Rainbows at church one night a month (3 yo's)...I just love 'em to death!! they are precious!! One little boy always looks for me and he grabs me around the knees and huuuuugs me....lookin' up at me with these beautiful blue eyes!!! He doesn't talk much, just smiles... I love that kid!!! They are all pretty great!!!! Some talk, some are very quiet...but when they do talk, I loooove their little voices!!!!!! Makes everything seem a little easier!
becca~ I hate that you are in a place of disorder/limbo!!! YUCK!!! I would be crazy! that stuff drives me nuts!! Hopefully they will get y'all lined out soon!!!

Somtimes those sweet little eyes can get them out of a heap of trouble can't they! My kids (daycare and my own) were singing the other day and it was just the most precious sound. Those are the moments when I'm so grateful I found my dream job.

My daycare mom is great - most of the kids who she watches are neighbors and they are all friends for the most part. They manage to entertain themselves and the older ones help with the little ones. She does some fun activities, and this summer I think it was tougher. It was so blasted hot they couldn't be outside as much.

First day of school went well - both girls love their teachers and were happy to see their friends. The only homework was for me - forms to fill out! Took the girls out to dinner - they picked IHOP! Of course, lucky us, Tuesdays, kids eat free!

Becca - what a bummer about your uncertainty! Leave it to the military - they can plan invasions and everything, but when you have to plan a move - they make you wait until the last minute. My friend's DH is a reservist who has done two tours in Iraq and they always said that they don't believe the orders until they come and the soldier is actually in the air! Good luck!!

Isn't it great when you find a good provider! I'm sure you're one those parents that tells her thank you often. It takes most of the worrying out of your day knowing they are in good hands and having fun.

First day of school here also..... my baby is a SENIOR.... talk about time flying by.... no tears were shed this morning though... he is soooo ready for this... I couldn't be prouder of him.... he is really a remarkable young man.....

Because Dan works and/or played golf everyday there wasn't much of a change around here this morning... busy day for me though... gotta get moving and head to the office... my weekly visit...lol.. have a great day everyone!!!

Good luck to your son this year! I bet those tears will be flowing by the end of this year when he graduates.

Just had to share- Last night Andrew was saying his prayers and his first prayer was for Pop to feel better and come home from the hospital (melted my heart) and his second prayer was for us to back to Disney. This morning Jason called from work to tell me that they have his dad's infection under control and he's coming home tomorrow! I hope we're getting off this roller coaster for a while and he doesn't have any more setbacks. He'll be on oral antibiotics for a while and as long as he keeps eating and drinking he should be fine! I can't say it had anything to do with my little man's prayers but...

Oh goodness..so sorry to hear about your little guy. It's so awful when kids get sick, you just want to make them all better.

That is so great to hear about your FIL!!! The prayers of children are the best to listen to. They really know how to speak from the heart. We've been praying for you guys too!!!

Kim!! How awesome!!! I am so proud of your little man for having such faith...the Faith of a little child.....I believe it!!! I have had my kids pray for me when I am sick, or feel a sickness coming on and I am instantly better!! Not every time, but it's happened more than once...it's amazing...I will let my kids pray for me anytime! I am glad to hear FIL is doing better!! We are still praying for you!!!

Logan says that if we get to X amount of dollars in our savings account, we can do Disney for my birthday (November 5). This is also contingent on whether or not he's still here. Apparently, he's on the waiting list for the class that would determine that...

Am I crazy for considering going to Disney with a 3 month old baby?
