WOW - y'all have been super chatty this week! So much to catch up on!

Becca - how exciting! I just know that you will have a wonderful time taking your little boy on his first trip to WDW!

Kim - hope you survivied the rest of the week with no more sick kiddos! Some people...sheesh!

Sheree - Paris in spring sounds like a wonderful idea! DLP sounds even better - go for it girl!

Shelly - your DL pics are absolutely fabulous! Looks like you had an amazing time! I really hope to be able to visit there some day!

UP! makes me cry lots too! Em refuses to watch it again because she thinks it's just too sad!

Logan still isn't convinced. He told me to let him know how much it will cost.

I'm super excited though. Hanson is scheduled to play at Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival on November 8 & 9th. That helps me narrow down when I would like to go more...

Airfare wise, Southwest went up. Airtran still has one non-stop flight each way for cheap.

I just finished packing the majority of our stuff (only took me about 2 hours). I posted pics over on my PTR!

I have some news - Disney has declined to exercise its right of first refusal for our DVC contract!!! That means once we close and send in $$$ WE WILL BE DVC MEMBERS!!

And in other news, the Minnesota Twins magic number is 2 and I just ordered my playoff tickets!!! WOO HOO!!

Oh, and I might get around to updating my TR this week too! HA! I'm fixing the pictures and resizing so I can get the updates going quicker.

I'm so excited that you're going to DLP!

July and August are definitely the prime season there, both crowd-wise and cost-wise. You must be looking at the UK site for the deals--the US site never has any special promotions. I booked through the UK site and had no trouble. When I put my address in, I used our Virginia address (where we no longer live) and left the country as UK. They don't snail-mail anything to you anyway so it doesn't matter.

Where are you thinking of staying? We've only stayed at the Davy Crockett Ranch, which is easy since we already have a car, but any of the other hotels would be more convenient. (I'm also wondering if we should try to plan a visit before DD turns 3 in January, since once we have 5 people age 3+ we won't fit anywhere other than DCR) And the train station is right by the parks and hotels--even closer than the parking lot!--so getting into Paris is super easy.

Two or two and a half days should be fine to see the parks (of course, more days is always better ). In March the park hours will be SHORT (maybe 10-6, 10-7), but you get EMH starting at 8:00 in the main park, and it won't be busy as long as you avoid the weekends.

Yeah, I'm excited too! I am glad to know getting into Paris is so easy - that was one thing I was concerned about. We haven't decided where we're staying. Originally DH looked at Disneyland, but that might be too pricey even with a deal. Maybe NY,NY. DH was trying to get the prices and all that and had not realized the UK/US deal and why the prices were all in pounds! We still have more research to do. We will probably be there mostly during the week with perhaps one day on the weekend, but since we're going to the city, we can arrange that how we want.

I'm so far behind on my DISsing! Now that the school year is in full swing and I have all my kiddos back my days are just a little busier. Plus we've been camping on the weekends so I can't even catch up then.

I ordered another planning DVD from Disney and it arrived today. Poor DH opened it and read where it says they are so excited that we are looking forward to visiting again in November. He just raised his eyebrow and looked at me and asked if anything was book yet. No of course not my sweet.... at least not yet.

Finally watched UP for the first time. Um...yeah I'm a cryer, so I had a few kleenexes (?) I used....

I still cry watching it and we've seen it a million times.

Disney REALLY wants me to come. We got yet another pin - a room-only discount that is slightly better than the one available to the general public. The availability isn't as good though, so we would have to stay at a Deluxe...

Oh the horror of HAVING to stay deluxe.

Well, I have a cold. Or a sinus infection. Or a head cold that landed in my sinuses. Whatever & bah humbug!

There's NOT much to say here, except that one of my friends - I've known her since we were 8 and went to church together as kids - gave birth last night to a little boy! He's pretty small, because he was about a month premature, at just over 4lbs.

However, the exciting part is that he's alive. He's in a NICU in Boston but, prior to that, the doctors had informed my friend that there was a 75-80% chance he would NOT survive delivery. I'd say he beat THOSE odds and he's probably not out of the woods yet, but he cleared the first hurdle. I've been praying like mad for my friend and her husband so I am BESIDE myself with joy. Puts the whole "sinus infection head pain" into perspective!!

My brother's wife is due October 12th and my other friend that I've known since I was 8 (but we went to school, not church) is due in March. I've got lots of fun baby knitting to do!! (I put a lot of my prayers into the baby gear I've been knitting, even though it wasn't for the first friend, so now I understand the term "prayer shawl" better than ever!)

Oh Sarah that's sweet! I am so glad that baby made it!!! I am sure he will be fine!! Sounds like a little fighter!!!! I too have been battling a sinus/allergy thing..know what put it in perspective for me? I missed church Sunday due to the fact that my throat was KILLER and every time I sat up the pressure in my ears was like a near explosion...well, I took Sudafed (finally) and watched tv and slept off and on a bit...DH and kids come home and he tells me that Mr. Sam.* a dear,sweet man of God, whom we looooove and is battling a resurgance of cancer* was there. Not only did he make it...he is in such pain when he sits, that he brought a mat and laid on it in the back of the sanctuary during service. My heart just broke...wow...I felt like a wimp. I mean, poor Mr Sam is not going to miss just because of terrible pain and cancer...but my head and throat hurt and I can't go!! Every one has a tolerance and breaking point....I did need the rest, but geez...I can only imagine what he is going thru daily...I can get relief with an OTC med and he can't. So....that made me think...wow...I really am healthy and if sinus is the worst I will face..bring it on Lord! This is doable...I can handle it for sure!!
Not to preach you a sermon or anything!! Ha!! That's just what popped in my head with your story and it was long to tell it!!!!
How is your knee? I have been meaning to ask....are we 100% yet? or is that in the spring?

Hopefully we will start to miss out on the 90 degree days after this week!! It's not been quite so humid, so the heat isn't unbearable...but I would looooove some days in the 70s that is for sure!!! Well, we are a little over 7 weeks out for our vacation...gettn more excited every day!! Meghan,Tony, and Madison arrived yesterday safe and sound!!! I guess the next one to go will be Shelly...or Wendi...cant remember if she is before or the same time as Shelly...then us!! I am sure I am forgetting someone Maybe not...well, anyway...we are gathering stuff like chipmunks around here in prep for the trip....hate doing it all the week before...I just have so much going on this year I can't put off anything.....got my little lists flying!!!!!!

Happy Fall to you too! It's hot and gross here. Not feeling very fall at all. We had a terrible storm last night and I got caught driving in it. White knuckle all the way! We've got limbs down and mulch washed away from the backyard.

Congratulations to your friend and her little one! I'll be keeping them in my prayers. It's amazing sometimes how those little NICU babies beat the odds!

Hi guys! Sarah - I'm happy your friend's baby is doing okay. My friend went through the same thing four years ago and it was scary, but she now has a solid little four year old running around!

Shawna - that's so ironic you told that story - I have been fighting a sinus headache for days and I just keep saying things like - hey, I'll just take some sudafed and tough it out, it's not like I have cancer...So true.

Did you Snowbirds get me sick!?!?!?!! I tried to blame my friend and she said it wasn't her fault....now I know who the culprit is! Obviously, I'm joining the sick wagon. Woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and coughing. Got headache/body aches today during the day so work was interesting.

Sarah - I'll be praying for that little boy.

Well..good news for me!! I just checked our weather and we have rain coming Sun with a cold front behind it!!!! The Mon and Tue night temps should be.....65!! I can hardly wait!!!!My last 2 light bills were outrageous! The highest they have been I think--ever!! And, even tho we are here all day, I don't keep it freezing during the day...comfortable, with ceiling fans running, but not cranked down....wonder what it would have been? WOW!!! anyway I was super excited...so if we get that, you Northern girls should really start cooling off!! No more A/C for you,right? We will still use ours til into Nov or Dec..depends on what this Autumn brings....but it will be way less than the summer, that' s for sure! I can' wait for the need to turn on the heater and break out the UGGS!!!
