How is it that your ticker says 6 months and you don't have your 180 day ADR date until Monday? That seems like a big discrepancy? Or did you just make up the ticker and not have the exact date, and then not want to change it??

ADR's are at 180 days. Which is not exactly 6 months because some months have 31 days. My 6 months was on the 6th and my ADR day was the 10th. :)

Yeah..those 31sts really throw a kink in it!! ha!!! But, I am glad... I am not ready at all....after that sinus thing I had, I have pulled muscles in the neck/back...from those extreme coughing attacks I had. That has been going on 3 weeks now...made an appt with the NP monday,..and of course, they couldn't see me till yesterday morning. But, Monday and Monday night were pretty bad---the pain was excrutiating!Ibuprofen, Excedrin.,tylenol...nothing much touching the pain...it was so bad I was getting nauseated. So..he gave me 3 RXs..Steroid to take out inflammation and dry up sinuses that are STILL draining...YUCK....Pain med so I can sleep and could get thru the day yesterday, and a muscle relaxer for bedtime..so Last night was the first night I slept all night without waking up from pain in almost 3 weeks!!! It is still a little nagging pain in there today, but not near as bad as it had gotten...of course, I have been having this so long, i know that 1 day of meds isn't going to totally get rid of it. But..I know in a day or so i will be as good as new!! I had to take those steroids before for a reaalllly bad sinus infection and by the 3rd day i was great!! So....I didnt feel like messing with park plans and ADRs!! TGM got the schedules out Mon afternoon...of course it would be on the day I was absolutely dying!! Then yesterday I was just fried! So, hopefully tomorrow/Friday I can get those park plans decided and pencil in my meals..check with Mike and see if it wants to add any and then be up at 6 (which I do NOT ever do, except for vacation) and on the laptop!! So...I will let ya'll know if & when I ever get my act together!!! Looking forward to my park planning...nowthat I am on the mend I can enjoy it!!!!

Hi Snowbirds! :cool1::banana:
Wow, lots going on here...new babies :cheer2: birthdays :cheer2: anniversaries :cheer2: Mother's Day :cheer2: baseball games :cheer2: yard sales :cheer2: Disney trip planning :cheer2::cheer2:
Shawna, and Kim's kids, hope you're feeling better!

I had a nice visit with my dad and stepmother. I don't know why I get stressed out when they are coming to visit--they were really very pleasant guests. We went to Bruges, which is a beautiful medieval town, and to downtown Brussels, and spent some time just hanging out and visiting. Next visitors will be my sister and her family at the end of July.

I recently got the Disney Cruise Line DVD in the mail and we watched it the other night. Wow, it looks fabulous! Too bad it's so much more expensive than the other cruise lines. :sad2: But maybe it's like comparing WDW to a basic amusement park. Have any of you cruised on both DCL and another cruise line?

Hope you all have a happy Disney day!

Pluto fan~ I have not sailed on the Disney cruise, but I have sailed on Carnival..it was fun!!! I do have friends who have sailed on both and they say it's uncomparible!! I know everything is super-top-notch-Disney-style!! I would love to do one someday....glad your company was enjoyable! How long till your hubby gets back?

I have been on both Disney and Carnival and you get what you pay for. I had SO MUCH FUN on DCL and loved everything about it. (except we had some tough weather, but can't fault them for that!) I did enjoy Carnival, but it was definitely a different experience. The activities are different, the shows are much more ADULT in nature. The food was great on both. If you're taking young kids, I say go Disney. We want to go to the Med one day and are struggling with the cost difference between Disney and Royal Carribean. I think if you're only going for ports, go cheaper. If you have a lot of onship time, pick Disney.

Thanks for the input! We've cruised twice, both times with Norwegian, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Once was many years ago before kids, and once was last fall (eastern Med) with them. Both times we spent LOTS of time in ports, mainly eating and sleeping on the ship...and both times we said, "Next cruise, we should have more days at sea!" Sheree, I think you hit the nail on the head that if you're spending more time on the ship, it would be worth the extra money for the special Disney experience. I was looking at Disney's Baltic cruises this summer, but that's more daydreaming than actual planning. :rolleyes1

As of this weekend, DH is halfway through his time in Virginia. :cheer2: "Only" five weeks to go! This weekend he is going to his niece's college graduation, next weekend he is going to visit his mom (although he'll see her this weekend--next he'll be going to her house to help her with some projects), and the following weekend he's going to a cousin's wedding. So he's getting to do several things that he would miss if he didn't happen to be in the States. Meghan, aren't you going to be in Syracuse for Memorial Day weekend? That's where DH is going to be for his cousin's wedding. If you see him give him a big smooch for me! ;) The kids and I are holding up OK here...we miss him, though! :sad1:

MY GOSH!!! 10 weeks is a long time. That must be difficult to say the least! I'm glad he gets to do things that he'd miss, but I bet he'd rather do them with you and the kids! Here's a hug just because!

We looked at Disney's Baltic cruise but it was - no joke - TWICE the price of Royal Caribbean. I couldn't even pretend to justify that cost, so we're sailing on Royal Caribbean at the end of June. I did compare RCI/Carnival/Disney for mid-February 2011, for 7 night eastern Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral for 2 people... Disney was only 1/3 higher. But that is a more ship-oriented trip and would probably be worth considering. :)

(After our trip at the end of June, there's NO future trips on my plate to plan. I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself!) (Of course, there is the 40th wedding anniversary Disney trip for next July, but that will involve 6 adults and my future niece/nephew who will only be 9 months old by then so there's not a lot of planning *I* can do.

Sarah..your trip will be here before you know it!!! Are you excited yet, or do you get hyped when you are actually on the boat? It's gonna be so fun!!!

So my baby boy went to his Junior Prom last night.... when did he grow up... they are a sweet couple... her name is Lauren... they have been friends for many years... funny thing is that her mom and I knew each other in high school (we went to school about 3 hours away from where we all live now)... they had a wonderful time... they all went to Laurens for an after prom party.... I am sure her parents didn't get any sleep with 30 kids running around and swimming...

I will be in Syracuse the Saturday before Memorial Day. We're just going for the day (well, me and Maddie)for my cousin's bridal shower.

Wendy-Love the prom pics!

Oh Wendy!!! He is soooo handsome...and she is just beautiful!! So, are they just friends, or officially a couple? I thought you said couple before...Gosh, they do grow up fast... I can't believe how old my babies are already!!! How fun for them to get to go to a party at home!! I love that idea!! So much can happen after prom:scared1: YIKES!! LOL!! I remember all the stuff my friends did afterward....ssccccaaaaaaarrrryyyy!!! They look like great kids!!! Are you packed yet?

I am already excited! It's so bad I was having dreams about travel pillows!

It's going to be my first transatlantic overnight flight and apparently I've been spending too much time pondering pillows! (So I went to Target today and the options they had were pink and teal, which isn't so useful for a guy, though I'm sure he wouldn't really care)

I'm mostly planned, trying to figure out packing, trying to get strong and healthy...

and then today, my DH injured his foot running. I'm pretty concerned, because it's close enough that a fracture would really impact the trip. If it is, I might consider canceling, so THAT's stressing me out!! Hopefully, he'll feel better tomorrow. If not, doctor's office on Monday!

Well dang Sarah!!!! I hope it's not serious enought that y'all have to cancel!!! YIKES!!!!! Maybe he just sprained it or something & a few days off it will help...keep me posted!!!!
I dream about my trips before I go every time--usually that it's like Friday evening and we haven't done any rides ,,I guess we have slept the whole week or something!!!! Drives me nuts...or that we get to the plane and have not paperwork and can't find anything for traveling!! I guess it'll be sleeping meds for me right before we go!! LOL...anything to stop the dreams!!! LOL

Wendy - what a handsome young man!! :flower3:

Shawna - I remember my prom. My friends parents allowed us to literally camp in their backyard since they lived in the country. So we had a huge bonfire and stayed up all night.

Sarah - I can't imagine having to cancel at this point! I'm not overdoing ANYTHING! I made my boss climb up and down the ladder all day because knowing my luck I'd fall off the stupid thing. Here's hoping it's absolutely nothing...

Shelly, you are too funny.....I would think the same thing!!! And yes, I would be the one to fall & bust it!!! So be careful!!!!

They were friends for many years and started dating last fall... she is a sweet girl.... I too remember all the crazy things we did... this is a great group of kids that my son hangs out with... they are all great students, athletes and involved in everything... just wonderful young people... both Daniel and Lauren recently received a Presidential honor for community service... Lauren had over 500 hours and Daniel had over 700 hours of community and church service since they have been in high school (and they are both Juniors)... proud mama here :)

Tomorrow I get to check in for our trip for Memorial Day.... I am SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!:woohoo:

Oh Wendy!! That is wonderful! And yes, you should be proud and brag on both of them all you want to!! I know I would!! LOL:goodvibes
And yeah for you to start the countdown of prep for your trip!!!

Sarah- Dreaming about travel pillows- too funny! :laughing:Hope DH's foot heals quickly and none of your plans have to change! :headache: How's it feeling today?

Wendy - What a cute couple! You must be one proud mama!:cloud9:

How is everyone else? :bored:

It's been a while since I've had time to DIS. Here are my life updates for those of you that are bored... If my life were a reality show it would be canceled within the first season. :lmao:
Andrew is finally feeling better. It took a stronger antibiotic to help him fight this horrible strain of strep he caught. Today Em and Jason started with it- fever, puking, etc. :headache: I'm praying it skips me this go around. I can't afford to close this week. :sad2: I'm playing hooky from church today.
My FIL is doing well. He finished his 3rd chemo treatment last week and goes this week for some more tests to evaluate and see if it did anything.
I went Friday to have a suspicious mole removed and have to wait to get the biopsy results. Cancer is a 4 letter word at my house these days. I'm so tired of hearing it being tossed around.
We're almost finished the new daycare room. We were hoping to be done it today but since Jason isn't feeling all that great and I am not a plumber, it will have to wait a little while longer.
I'm off to do some cleaning...again. Bleach is my new best friend these days.
