We just changed our pre-cruise hotel from near the airport to Pop Century.

Who is going to be there the same time we are? Shoot, was it Kim?

Anyway,

I love how my husband keeps claiming he's not a Disney fan, but then... I told him "hey, there appears to be discounts for Disney hotels. Do you want to stay where we're at or do you want me to see what kind of price we can get?" The answer was to see what price. Well, Pop Century came in $10 cheaper and All Star Sports came in $30 cheaper... but he decided we should stay on property and definitely at Pop Century.

Plus it looks like I can return our car, from National, on property, then catch the DCL bus to the ship!

4 WEEKS

from today and we will be in the air right about now!! ahhhh...28 days!! I have just a few more toiletry/travel size things to get, then that will all be taken care of. Last might dd informed me that her tennis shoes are too small and hurting her feet~~ I just took her last week for new shoes that are NOT flip flops and she said her tennis shoes were great. Of course she outgrew them in 6 days
Had lots of things planned to get done around here that just have to be taken care of in general~you know Home Maintenance,kid chores, all that business...but I went to bed AND woke up with a headache. I think it could be a doozy,,so I am off to have Dr Pepper and Excedrine for breakfast If it doesn't kick in, I will be doing next to nothing today. yuck.

Okay girls,..let me see what I need to do for my trip!!!! I have most of the toiletry/travel size items bought,..need to get a few more on my next grocery trip. Probably tomorrow or Wednesday,.. I want to have all this ready by this weekend~it'll be upstairs with my suitcase ready to pack!! I am not shipping any food or snax this time since we are club level..
So,..the need to have things bought,boxed and ready to ship is not hanging over me this time~but I still want it done so I can quit thinking about it!
As y'all know, I am still homeschooling dd full time, and ds13 is part time...he only does Math and Science at school (and Bible and computer were on the schedule for his days, so he takes that too),..anyhoo~we are working toward the end of our first semester!! We will be finished (on the books) by Friday November 9th before our trip the next day. BUT!!!...they have had a few books that they really enjoyed reading and finished, or will finish reading early!
Are any of you still mowing your yards? I think we will mow this weekend and the week before we leave and that should do us for the end of the season...also, we will cover our pool in the next couple of weeks...its kinda chilly, but the kids are still wanting to get in. We don't have a heater so you gotta brave the chill when you first get in there!
Also, we will have a day where we clean out the garage, throw away old pool toys and stuff like that...
Our walk-in attic is off of our school room, so when we finish school I will clean that room and probably pull our our Rubbermaids with Christmas decorations in them~If I feel like putting that up before we leave I will, if not, I will just wait till Thanksgiving week and switch out Fall for Winter then...but one way or the other, the boxes will be out and the school room will be cleaned and closed up!!! It'll go from to !!
We are still debating on the MVMCP...I think if we do decide and the weather is cooperating, we will do the Monday night party.... Of course, I may plan this and it come to naught~we'll see... I was looking on the Disney site today and trying to figure out what Tshirts we need! Since ds16 isn't going, the other 2 are totally okay to us having Disney shirts that are somewhat alike. Maybe the boys will do Donald, or Goofy, and me and dd can do Minnie, or Mickey...of course, I found 3 or 4 we loved and they were all sold out except for little bitty sizes...oh well,..the hunt will continue!!

yesterday was fun...got to buy more tiny toiletries! I have all that bagged up and in my giant Disney bag next to the suitcases!! I only have my detergent/laundry stuff,and some small meds & that entire section of stuff on the to-do list will be completed!!!!! Lanyards are packed and ready, have a power strip, gum, and cleaning wipes for the room also!!!
My dd and I finished her math for yesterday...well, what she does out of the chapter,..from here on out she will do drill sheets and worksheets!! She has really gotten so much better and faster on her multiplication/division this semester....I think she went into mental lapse with all of it over the summer! LOL...My boys are testing today at school...my Junior is taking the PSAT and my 8th grader is taking a new test. I guess it's a jr high version of the PSAT? It's called Redistart or something like that...sort of a test to see where the Jr High is placement wise...I guess...I will know more about it today, but I know they are going to be glad it's over,..especially that PSAT! So, ds13 has adjusted really well to being at school~our school only sends report cards at the end of semester, but this week is Progress Report week and as of now they both have all As! DS13 is in Honors Science and Honors Alg and he has a solid A in both, as well as in Bible and Computer,...DS17 has As in everything except Chemistry,...he had an 89, but I am not sure if they are taking a test before then...if so, he will probably have an A...all his other As are high As! I am just so proud of them! They have both done so well and enjoy it..if they have homework they just come home and get snack and tackle it or if it's a weekend, they set aside a time to get it out and complete it. Just wanted to brag on my little men for a minute!!..back to Disney!

Hello everyone! Things have gotten little crazy around here now. We are starting to get into "Holiday Mode" at work. Not too crazy yet, but definately getting there. So Thanksgiving is about 5 weeks away (if I can count correct). Just over 9 weeks til my brothers wedding (Dec. 22, which I am doing all the planning for. Making invites, programs, decorations) then Christmas. On top of all that, just a mere 79 days til I'm on my way to Disney!!!!!! It will be so nice to have that trip after all this craziness.

Oh add to that, my parents are getting all new flooring in the house. So we have contractors and other odd people over almost every other day to take measurements of some sort.

Also at some point this week I have to figure out how to make my Halloween costume for Sunday. The wedding that I stood up in is having a Halloween reception, and of course I've waited til the last minute to figure out my costume. I'm going to be a Red Solo Cup. It's a nickname that actually started in Florida, so we figured it fit. At this point I just want to buy a huge fake ring and wear my Aaron Rodgers jersey and say I'm his wife....much less stress to figure out that outfit.

Oh well, here's hoping that the coffee has kicked in for the next 15 hours! Have a great week everyone!!
