thanks for all the prayers ladies!! got a great Praise Report tonight! Jess called me just a couple of hours ago from home!!! She said,"Shawna, it was just like you prayed for me yesterday! They got the results from the tests back and there was no more bleeding..all is good."!!! Praise the Lord!! She is supposed to rest for the whole week-her parents flew in last night, his flew in today,...so she and her hubby can just lay around for a couple of days and let the Grands do all the work and take care of them also!!! She didn't even have to have the angiogram!!!

God is so good!!!! I was so happy to hear her voice! I appreciate all of your prayers and concern more than i can say!!!!Thank you!

Hi ladies! I capped off a long week (my parents visited, I got sick, I got overtime, I got news I didn't want, my husband was a little jerkish) with my husband admitting there was no way we weren't taking the Disney cruise in January AND finding airfare for the cruise was $100 cheaper than it was last week - and in the range that I wanted to pay.



Tomorrow's our anniversary, so we're going a few miles away, staying at a hotel, and having a fancy dinner tonight. Can't wait!

Thanks, ladies! 12 years, as of yesterday! Or 12 years on the 12th in 2012.

After our fancy dinner, I ended up with a 12 hour stomach bug, which wasn't awesome. The food was delicious, though, but perhaps it was just too rich for me? Every item we had, we kept saying "this is incredible!" It was nice to just take the time away from the every day and spend it with my hubby.

Here's hoping this week is saner!

This was pretty much the longest week ever for me, but we're FINALLY home!

We decided to give Space A a try on the way back, since Logan's parents live very close to an Air Force Base that has some flights to the west coast (there was a flight to Hawaii listed, but it left a day early, so we missed it). First there were huge problems with the aircraft which resulted in us getting up in the air, only to turn around and come back. We finally got to California, but apparently our timing was bad, because everyone else was trying to get back to Japan mostly, and pretty much every flight from the US to Korea stops in Japan.

After waiting around in the terminal for around 12 hours with a whole bunch of people who don't supervise their children, we didn't get on the flight we wanted, so we decided that we wouldn't bother trying anymore. Gideon was getting really fed up with everything and I found an excellent deal for 3 tickets from San Francisco to Seoul for only around $450 each with seats in Economy Plus! There were a couple other flights we could have tried for, but we decided that the guarantee was worth the money, especially since it got us home MUCH faster.

Anyways...we're finally home, and have pretty much decided that while saving the money is nice, traveling SpaceA with kids really isn't worth it for us, especially if we really need to get somewhere. We may try it again in the future, but only if we leave Gideon with his grandparents.
Luckily, by just taking the flight from Kansas to California, we cut over $1000 off our ticket cost, even with the hotel, taxi, and rental car expense. It definitely was a learning experience for us, but our timing was terrible.

Many apologies for not responding to any posts here, it's been a little chaotic trying to fit everything in.

I head home tomorrow from England - it's hard to believe I've been here for 5 weeks! This trip has been absolutely amazing. However, I am coming home to 2 brand new cats, named Leroy and Pumpkin. My mother rescued them while I was over here. I start back at work in a few weeks and have missed my charges terribly.

Exciting news though - it seems I'm returning to England next summer, with a very possible stop off at Disneyland Paris!

Many apologies for not responding to any posts here, it's been a little chaotic trying to fit everything in.

Well we got Maggie moved into her new apartment. Looks cute... my dear husband is having a hard time realizing she is an adult and out on her own... he keeps asking when she is moving home... Dan leaves for school this weekend. That situation is stressing me out... not that he is leaving... we rented him an apartment off campus and the landlord is driving me crazy.... first we had to rent for a year... so the boys have been paying since June 1st! One of the boys moved in a bout two weeks ago. He had some family and freinds over last weekend - about 15 people - included an aunt and uncle, some cousins and a few friends... I get a call from her (the lease is in my name also) that Scott had a crazy party, there was underage drinking, cars all over the place, people were running in the street etc.... and she wants to cancel the lease... mind you mine son doesn't move in until this Saturday

so I do a little investigating... it was his family and friends, they were playing football in the front yard... and yes they did run in the street to get the ball a couple of times, and there were six cars... The house is a duplex.. I called the neighbor and he was fine with it.. said they were just having a game and it didn't bother him... so it was obviously another neighbor.... She calls me back that she is going down there (about 2 hours away from her) to check it out. I asked her if anyone went over to check the ages of those drinking - she said no - they just looked young ... and I asked how many cars were there... she said 6 (when the boys are all moved in there will be three - if they have their girlfriends over that will be six - is that a party???) -

she did go down and talk to Scott ( the one who already moved in) and when she couldn't prove the underage drinking she accused him of having people there all night - luckily the nice young man in the next apartment said that when he leaves for work at six every morning there is only one car - Scotts -

it is a nice family neighborhood and we want to keep it that way - but if the guy in the apartment next door isn't upset this is crazy - she said that they have one more shot and then she is booting them.... the lease says if she gets two complaints in a month she can cancel the lease.... who would have thought that a game of football with you family would warrant a notice .... sorry just stressed over this... would be a huge pain to have to find them another place to live 5 days before school starts.

Oh Wendy! That is just crazy!!! Sounds like a gripey old coot! Well..maybe it will settle down when the new wears off....I think it's great that 3 guys can find a decent place and want to play football and just hang out at home!!!!! geeeeesh !!!! some people will grouch about anything!!!!
