Okay girls..we decided!! Wilderness Lodge will be the site of our 20th Anni~moon!! Cute word, huh?! Anniversary/honeymoon #2!! Our honeymoon was about a 3 hour drive from here and we stayed in the sweetest little bed & breakfast in a cutesy little town. Thank the Lord there wasn't too much going on around there because we were SO broke we couldn't have afforded to do anything! LOL!! But, it was a sweet romantic time that I wouldn't trade for anything. We could never have afforded Disney (or anything else for that matter)…then at our 10 year, I had 3 babies:1, 4 1/2, and 8. And I still couldn't afford to go anywhere! LOL!! And then I couldn't have left my kids for long anyway…so we went to the B&B of our Honeymoon and spent one night there and my mom kept the kids at a hotel in the next town over! It was great too!! But we are really looking forward to this trip!!! We have a SUPER busy 2014 and we need to be able to just slow down and really relax.
We looked at several different places in the US and just thought everything was going to take so much looking into, planning, and research~then go, go, go once we got there. Disney is like your Best Friend! You can go 'home' and just BE!! We have dinners for each day planned, and a few FP, but other than that we may just hang out at the WL and not do much else. I am looking forward to seeing Disney this way~ I never thought I would be able to do it like this… but, without kids it is a whole different mindset.
Sounds fun.

You all know how spoiled I was on my honeymoon. Looking back, we probably shouldn't have spent the money, but it was awesome nonetheless.

Yes, I did.
Lydia Irene joined us at 12:11am on February 18th after 6 hours of labor and 2 pushes (only 45 minutes in the hospital). I managed to go med free, and my recovery has been 10 times easier this time.
It was completely unexpected, because my due date wasn't until March 4th!

8lbs 1/2oz and 20 1/2 inches long

She, of course, already has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. Now I just have to figure out when I'm going to be able to get her to Disney!

I love the name Lydia!

Our trip is booked! AoA here we come.... in seven months. :woohoo:

Congrats Becca! Both of my kiddos came late...not fun! I hope you have been enjoying your time with her. You definitely need to get your little princess to WDW!

Congrats Becca! :cloud9:
Thanks!

It was hard deciding on that name, but it seems to suit her. It's adorable to hear Gideon say too, because he replaces the 'L' with a 'W'.

I definitely got lucky in that respect, even though it kind of came as a shock. Gideon was early too, but not quite as much.

Thanks!

Congratulations Becca! She's beautiful!!! I'm so happy you had a smooth labor and easier recovery this time around!

All these posts about being a TA make me want to be one! I barely have time to catch up on here let alone plan other's trips though.

Say some prayers for me my Snowbird friends! As you know I'm a daycare provider and I absolutely love what I do but these past couple years I've been struggling with balancing motherhood and work. When I started this 6 years ago both my kids were home with me so it really allowed me to still be a mom and have time with them. Now that they are both in school I feel like I'm actually spending less time with them. I've been slowly gearing my business towards teachers and I am finally at the point where I may be able to switch to be open full time during the school year and be closed in the summer. I really would love to just be mom this summer and enjoy the time with just my kids. They are growing so fast- Emily is 7 today and Andrew will be 10 in April! I'm excited yet a little nervous to make this jump but I really feel like this change is what is best for my family. Please send me some happy thoughts that everything continues to line up and that this will be a change for the best for me!

Happy Birthday to Emily!! :cheer2:
Kim - it seems that we spend less time with our kids as they get older - school and activities and all. I hope it works out for you to have some family time in summer! I like to try to take a day off here and there and just hang out with them at home, or go do something fun like the beach. My DH has a weekday off every other week, so he can do that too. Otherwise, they basically are on their own at home with lots of rules and chores (unless Grandma and Papa come take them out to lunch). Not super fun for them either.

So it's ONE WEEK until we leave for our DL trip!! I did manage to make a list and a chart of park hours. That's about it. DH has handled all the reservations. He's going to be off work until we go, so I'm going to let him do all the "stuff" that needs to be done. I would pack this weekend, but we're heading north for a dance competition and I haven't packed for that yet! I've never felt so unorganized about a trip before. And a trip to DL, where we haven't been, too! I could pull off a WDW trip with not much effort, but this is all new!

Hooray for 1 week!!! You're going to have a wonderful trip no matter how well planned it is!

Thanks! It is definitely tough to be a working mom! I think part of my stress is that I work from home and am essentially "mom" to 8 other kids for 10 hours a day. Sometimes having my work in our house and having to share me is the hardest part for them to understand. I'm so excited that I might be able to tell them that it's just us this summer! :goodvibes

Sheree~ I can't believe you are down to one week!!!!!! :cool1: I am just shocked that it's already here~ when you first said March it seemed like so long away…now it's here! I think it's ok to not be so planned at DL…since it's smaller you can get away with it more…and you are familiar with the majority of the rides, so it should be ok! It will give y'all a chance to prove how spontaneous you all are!!! :goodvibes

My former day care mom stopped having an in home daycare about a year ago. She said her kids (who were older than mine), were kind of glad to have their house back. She was too. Now she's being a nanny for a family in their home.

Yeah, I'm excited!! We have dance comp this weekend and then it's just a few more days until WARMTH!!! We normally don't plan too much - just which park each day and some meals. This trip we just know the park hours and fireworks schedules (only on the weekend) and have two meals reserved. Should turn out to be fairly spontaneous!!

Hi friends! Speaking of one week....one week today I will be flying to MCO and in just 8 days I will be boarding my first Disney cruise. Well, it's my first cruise in any cruise line! I am looking forward to seeing my fellow agency friends who I haven't seen since last May. We all need to escape this dreadful NE weather.

I have not even thought about packing but I am finding that a cruise is easier to pack for than WDW. We will probably only have 1 actual session and I plan on wearing a nice sundress. Other than that it's just bathing suits and more sundresses for dinner! Easy peasy! I did have to buy new sunscreen and other travel sizes items today at Target.

We know our stateroom assignments and we have a verandah. So spoiled. :) I cannot wait to see the Disney Magic in person since I watched the special on Discovery America in January. I need some sunshine and girl time. Yay!

Ooh Meghan! That is so exciting!! Don't forget all your colorful flip flops! How long is the cruise? I'd love to get on the Magic with all it's new stuff!
