This gonna be a fairly quick update, hence the title "Quickie." I got some good news and bad news....
Starting with the bad news: So while I was looking on the DIS something caught my eye, THE HAUNTED MANSION WAS GOING TO BE CLOSED WHEN WE GO TO MAGIC KINGDOM! I had to break the news to DBF and he was so bummed because it is his favorite ride in all of WDW. So that kinda put a damper on the trip but we wont let it ruin our fun, it will just be sad seeing it there and not being able to ride it. Does anyone know why it is closing for those couple of months?? Now for the good news, and DBF doesnt even know yet (and hopefully he wont read this before i tell him) we will be at MGM during a Star Wars weekend. DBF loves Star Wars, I am more of a Harry Potter fan myself, but that is neither here nor there. I am hoping once he finds out about the Star Wars weekend it will make up for the disappointed caused by the Haunted Mansion.
Anyways, in other news, DBF finally joined the DIS, his username is PrinceCharming16; how original I think he joined just to read what i was writing over in this here pretrippie! Everyone give a big wave to DBF!!!
Lastly, I have been doing a lot of shopping during my spring break and I am on the fence about buying one thing: Crocs. I have heard so many great things about them and I found a cute pair with the Mickey heads instead of holes, but I cannot picture myself wearing them because I find them hideous!! But DIS peer pressure is setting in and I cannot decide whether or not to go ahead and order them!!! Here is a pic...

Well you are one organized lil lady there I love the passport disney thingy...where'd you get it? I want one Anyways, I just wanted to say congrats on the kindergarten placement..I am a teacher as well (graduated May 2005) which is also the year that DH & I got married and went to Disney for our dinseymoon/honeymoon

The crocks are something that I am starting to love as well....I need to find some of them, do you have any idea where I can get a pair? Anyways, I look foward to reading more

Well if you want a more defined shoes but still very comfortable, you can check out the Crocs Mary Jane style. It's SO cute, I'm saving up to buy a pair, and I still can't find my blue ones

Just signing up on this wonderful trippy! I just love the pictures and the before and afters! I dont know how you are finding the time to Dis but it sure is helpful ,huh. I found this place about 3 weeks before my Disney trip last year. We will be in Disney June 18-24th. Did you check out the June trip thread?? Maybe we will meet up? BTW I teach high school

Hi!! The passporter is available at Barnes & Noble and Borders, but you can also get it from www.passporter.com, that is what I did, I think it ultimately cheaper that way too! Wow you got married and graduated in the same year, that sounds hard, but very exciting! I know you can also get Crocs from most sporting stores or www.crocs.com Btw, what grade do you teach? The passporter is a Disney Guidebook, it has daily planners in it for itineraries, confirmation numbers, and trip report pages so you dont forget a thing. It has reviews for every resturant, ride, and attraction...basically its Disney in a book. Some people do not like it, but I love it!! We too are driving from Illinois leaving 6/15 (this is my one major worry..we are driving straight thru!! ) Oh and guess what else, after Disney we are heading to Clearwater area also!! I am super excited!

Great DIS minds think alike. I have my PassPorter right beside my bed to glance at before drifting off. I also bought my Disney Crocs - same ones as you. I have been wearing them around the house and they are really comfortable - ugly, but not so bad being Mickey ones. Thanks for your pre-trip. Someday before our trip I hope to write one...

I actually just saw about the DIS meet in June, but that will be our last day and we will be spending all day at Magic Kingdom, it sorta a tradition to end at Magic Kingdom and see Wishes!

Hi Everyone! I know it has been awhile since I last posted, so I thought I would give a little update. First off I hope all you that celebrate Easter had a good one, me not so much, I stayed home to do homework Anyways, the countdown is at 66 DAYS Do you realize that is just a little over 2 months!! 2 months goes reeeeallllllyyyyyy fast!!! Anyways, I paid DBF for my portion of the trip (for the house, hotel, and Poly. dinner show) so now I just have to save for food (yum yum) and spending money so i can shop and stuff my suitcase to the point that I cant close it!! My parents are in Florida, but you think they went to Disney...Nooooo...I am sorry but isnt it against the law to go to the state of Florida and NOT pay a visit to the mouse??? I havent really been able to do much planning since I have been in school, but I really think there isnt that much more to do since we did it all over the winter, but I am sure I will buy more stuff, all of my backordered Victoria's Secret clothes are starting to ship and come in, as you probably guessed they are all summer clothes which I cannot wait to wear since winter decided to return in Illinois! Well, sorry this is so short, but alas, it is time for me to get ready for school; just wanted to check in and say hello to all my favorite DISsers!!
