I heard that WDW is trying to get the Snow White Mine Train Roller Coaster up and going by December. Anybody have any idea if this is still the case and what would be the possibility of any DVC previews in early November like we had with the new Fantasyland?

I hope so! We were fortunate to be there for the first soft opening day of New Fantasyland in Oct and I was over the moon!

Wow! I sure hope so since we will be there Nov 30 til Dec 7.

With our luck, they will open it up on Dec 8. We missed the VGF models by 1 day too. :headache:

That would be fantastic if they did! Just wishful thinking at the moment though ....

http://www.wdwmagic.com/news.htm is a great website for the latest Walt Disney World news. The website is updated daily, sometimes a few times a day.

The most recent mine train update was 5 days ago.

Hope this is helpful.

Don't say that! That is when we will be there as well. Think happy thoughts :)

Thanks for the link. From the pictures, they are moving along but don't know about December opening. Alot of work done but all the inside work needs to be completed.

We also got to see the previews last October both on MNSSHP and then the DVC preview. Was great - no lines! We are going to be there from 10/31 to 11/10 this year so I am keeping my fingers crossed.:yay:

A little Disney magic!

I keep hoping they will be open for our 12/15-24 trip this year, but from the construction photos, I think that's probably a pipe dream only. :worried:

Those questions are impossible to answer 6 months ahead of time. Biggest variable is ride testing. Not only is it a brand new attraction (rather than a clone of something Disney has built at another park), it's also a new ride system. Anything can happen during testing.

Back in the '90s, test track opened 18 months late due to issues that arose during construction and testing. Wouldn't expect anything that extreme here but delays of weeks or months are certainly possible. Estimated opening dates and previews won't be considered until they are further along.
