Snow to 80 in 8 days–A spoonful of Holiday Cheer (2/5 update Ch 36 - Final Thoughts)

:lmao: That's funny, until I think about the fact that you and Tim are the only two in that list that think 1990's when you flashback to high school!!! :sad2:

Oh, I'm so sorry Marv! Am I making you feel old?? Not my intention at all, I promise. Just for the record 1991 was a good year for me in high school:goodvibes. What were you doing in 1991?:rolleyes1

:rotfl:
Make that two readers who will be behind - I leave in 5 days!

Jumping right into the fray - good for you!

Have a great trip too:goodvibes! And yes, I'm not scared of jumping into the fray. Seems like some of these folks are used to giving everyone a hard time so I'll do my part to even out the playing field!:goodvibes

Oh, well thanks for encouraging her!!!

This is me Marv, :littleangel:.

Nice update, Marv - your Christmas travel plans sound a bit like ours in terms of rushing from place to place (though without the benefit of a Disney trip!!). I'm glad you were able to spend time with your family, especially your dad (though I am assuming you got to spend the time you wanted with him, especially with that tease for the next chapter...)

I laughed at the Hallmark ornanment conversation. My MIL has been a huge fan forever, and she passed it on to my DH. My children brag about the fact that they have the only "talking Christmas tree" on the block. See, we seem to collect the Star Wars/Star Trek/Disney ornaments that make noise, and that plug into the lights to get their power. So when you plug the lights in, they all come on at the same time. We've surprised lots of people that have been visiting us when we've turned our tree on...:rolleyes1 But it is definitely a headache getting them back into all those darned boxes!!!:headache:

Your seven layer bars sound yummy...I'd love to try them, but they don't quite fit into the whole Weight Watchers plan. ;)

Oh I think 90's when I think of High School!! :thumbsup2 But.....I would be thinking of my step-sons who graduated in '91 and '96.....:rolleyes1

Let them cool in the pan, then slice and serve.

Yum!!!

You're so vain! I bet you think that post was about you, you're so vain! I bet you think that post was about you, don't you, don't you???? :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Of course - now I have that song running through my head.....:sad2:

I can't speak for Marv - but 1991 for me started with baby #2 on the 12th of January, followed by graduation from HS for step-son #1, then later his graduation from Navy boot camp which included a Disney Trip!:banana:

This is me Marv, :littleangel:.

...........:rolleyes1

All caught up! I'm afraid to know what the weather is like when you go to leave the In-laws. Sounds like you had a really nice time with the family before you left :goodvibes

I've been so busy with work and life in general - I didn't get on the boards for four days - but I only missed one update :thumbsup2
The 7layer bar sounds great and now I want something sweet...

Okay, you know when you get old the memory starts to slip, but DS21 was born in '89. I know he loved hearing the music to the video game I loved playing around that time, so I was probably doing Tetris!

You must have my thread mistaken with somebody else's! Nobody acts like that around here. :rolleyes1
This is me Marv, :littleangel:.
So then you AREN'T the 4thprettyprincess......

Glad you enjoyed Jen. Hopefully more soon to ease a little of the suspense. ;)

We have some like that too. DS21's favorite is Waldorf and Statler in the theater box cracking wise! :rotfl2:

Actually they are 100% calorie free! (as long as you don't so much as sniff the aroma!) :rotfl:
:rotfl2: Of course - now I have that song running through my head.....:sad2:
I'm betting Molly never heard it unless she's listening to the oldies station........ :lmao:
...........:rolleyes1
:lmao: :lmao: Love that one! Wonder which is really more appropriate....... :rolleyes1

It's always an adventure when we go to the In-Law's......

Good to see you Katharina! I think there is a lot of "busy" going around! And thanks for thinking of my TR when you are wanting something sweet! ;) :rotfl:

BTW, I commented on the dirndl on your's and Magdalene's TR. You'll have to go back a couple of pages but I would appreciate a response before I get to that part of my trip report so I don't say something incorrect.:confused3 Of course, some on here will probably say you have until around May before I get to Day 2 of the Disney part of my TR........ :lmao:

mm i do love me some stir fry, i got a new stove top wok pan for christmas, i had an electic one before, i like this one a whole lot more. makes good meals

i also make a mean homemade egg role.

hickory farms has a honey pineapple mustard they sell

add that to thinly sliced chicken/veggies of your choice. ( i use bean sproats, carrots, celery, and onion)

cook till soft and chicken cooked.

put inside some wrappers and brown them up.

ohh man.

the mustard in them is so good and flavorful, when i make them no one uses a dipping sauce.

Let's see, I was 15 in 1989 so I would've been in 10th grade. Tetris? I remember Tetris. I would think Atari would be more your generation though, or Intellivision...:rolleyes1 Or black and white TV?

So now I'm not the 4th pretty princess? Well, that's just mean.;) I see how it is then, be nice to Marv and he'll be nice to you.:sad2::laughing:

I don't listen to the oldies station, well unless you count music from the 40's which I love BTW. Did this song you're talking about come out on an 8 track? My dad had an 8 track! Maybe I'll ask him to dig his up so I can figure out what song this is!

Which one is more appropriate? Isn't it obvious, I'm the one on the left.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Boy, I take ONE day off and Marv's getting it from everyone. :)

Morning, from the Mom of Minions. Sitting here eating the dreaded Sausage McMuffin with Minion #4 on his 3rd first day of at a new school. And trying to get caught up on some of the banter around here. I see a recipe I'll have to go back and check out. To give to my personal bakers that only come with stars, of course.

That sounds really good! Love stuff from Hickory Farms, but don't think I've had the honey pineapple mustard before.

Had an electric wok originally, but loved the stove top one we got so much better too! :thumbsup2

I went overboard one evening and tried making won ton soup AND egg rolls at the same time. Never again! :sad2: It took about three hours between making and stuffing the won tons, mixing all of the ingredients for the egg rolls and putting them together. I might make one or the other again sometime, but not both at the same time!

Oh yes, I had an Atari! Could really get into some Pong! Actually, I still have the Atari.....and the black and white TV I had in my room during high school!
So now I'm not the 4th pretty princess? Well, that's just mean.;) I see how it is then, be nice to Marv and he'll be nice to you.:sad2::laughing:
Okay, didn't know I would have to explain them. You said you were an angel, so I was giving you credit for that over "princess." Recalibrating my thinking now.......... :rolleyes1

Actually, it was probably a 45! I don't think they had 8 tracks yet when that song was popular! There was an 8 track in my first car though, and Hotel California was my first purchase once I got it working!!! :)
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Boy, I take ONE day off and Marv's getting it from everyone. :)
Well thanks for your support and sticking up for me.....friend!

Okay, like songs getting stuck in people's heads, I'm thinking a sausage mcmuffin may be in my future tomorrow morning!!! :)

Well, then let me be the first to congratulate you on an artery clogging, gut busting, vitamin deficient sort of morning tomorrow! :lmao:

I hear they are now offering oatmeal as a healthier (but OH SO SCARY! alternative.)

Actually they aren't open in time for me to stop there, so it will probably be some healthy full grain oatmeal "bread" from the toaster when I get to work!
Oooo, I like that one Tanya!

Marv, looks like you're getting brutalized over here brother. :rotfl:
Happy to help!
Have you seen the pictures of that oatmeal???? :scared1:
I saw that and thought, "Now why would I go to McDonald's to get oatmeal?!!"
Yeah, that's what I was thinking!!!
Who loves you baby??????
And the search continues......... :rolleyes1
