Our local weather stations talked about snow rollers last night and showed some pictures. I had never heard of these. The surface of the snow has to be smooth and the wind just right for these to be made. The snow flakes start blowing and rolling along the smooth surface and start to form a roll. As they roll, they pick up more snow and momentum and form a larger roll. The final product looks like a hair roller made out of snow. Cool!
