Can anybody else tell it is going to snow by the smell in the air?

I can't tell if it will rain by my aches and pains, but I can definitely smell when snow is on the way.

Wow, PD, for a minute there I thought you were a Gilmore Girls watcher!

Well, if you come around here, you can pretty much smell snow from November through April. I think we get used to the smell of it and don't notice it anymore. :teeth:

Yes, even though it was 40-degrees last week and we had rain, it certainly looked and smelled like snow.

My roommate and I give weather forecasts. I can smell when it will snow. And we both hurt when it will rain; I get sinus headaches, she has an ankle that's had so many surgeries that it hurts her.

Yep, here in central Delaware it's in the air. I predict around 1:00 p.m., it'll start and the kids will be home at their usual time.

Only if "Snow" is the new Yankee Candle scent.
:(

It is supposedly coming our way....Oh well, it was bound to happen for those of us living in the Northeast...it is winter you know.. wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Wish I was in WDW with my friends, this is my favorite week to go but not in the cards for this year.

Yup. When I lived in MA I always use to say it smells like snow.

Where I am today, it smells like summer. :rotfl:

I can smell rain also.

I am a portable weatherperson.

Yup. Absolutely.
"Smells like snow" is one of my favorite things to say. :teeth:

I'm sure the kids will be sleeping with their pj's inside-out and a spoon under their pillows tonight. 'Tis the season for all the old "snow day" superstitions.

What time is it supposed to start today? After 3:00 I hope.

Yes, I just said this the other day and my family told me I was nuts. Thank you Papa Duece!

But I can also HEAR snow coming. Something about the way your own voice sounds outside when snow is on the way. It sounds kind of closed-in. A complete absence of echo. ( forget it...hard to describe)

Tara, N.J. is supposed to start later tonight and into tomorrow Ughhhhh

I can smell rain, but not snow. For snow, I turn on a weather report!

Given the "accuracy" of our weather reports, though, I'd be better off if I could smell it!

I'm still waiting for the snow that was supposed to start by 11AM, giving us 4-8 inches of snow!

Oops, I spoke too soon! It just started, but it's barely coming down. It looks like little feathers falling from the sky!

Thanks, hoping to get the "no school tomorrow" call in the middle of the night.
