I visited the downtown/shopping area of Celebration about eight or nine years ago. While we were there, they had snow machines that made it snow at night. Does anyone know if they still do this?

For someone that doesn't live where it snows, this was a fun treat! :goodvibes I would love from my son to see this.

Yup, still going on in the holiday season!

Like the falling snow, there be "falling autumn leaves" during Oktoberfest at Celebration. Thought the town and it's residents did a great job with the festival. We had a blast. Fall is just around the corner. :thumbsup2

When do they actually do this? We will be in DW in September but I'm trying to convince my DH to go back in late October early November. Thanks for all the posts.

Oct 10,11th this year. Leaves "fall" in the evening on the hour.

This sounds really neat. What is there? How would I get there from Disney. I will not have a car. I am planning on only using Disney transportation.

you could take a taxi from your resort to Celebration.

During the Fall Festival the restaurants have food booths outside and there are kid inflatables, horse and carriage rides etc.

The Snow has a NEV train that goes around, horse and carriage rides and the stores are all open.

Here's a tip...it's not "snow", it's really foaming soap! Make sure to bring a change of clothes for your kids! They typically come out covered head to toe in what I would describe as Mr. Bubble!

Snow, Fake Snow, Mr. Bubble - its all fun to play in. I know that 8 years ago it was some kind of soft ice material because we made into tiny "snowballs" I enjoyed this immensely because I got to throw them at my boss. HAHA! I loved it!

True! But, DD's dance team performed last year at the "snowing". It was very difficult to keep 15 - 7 year olds out of the stuff long enough to perform! Luckily, DH's family still has a house in Celebration, so we went and hosed her off before heading back home! :lmao:

Talking about the Oktoberfest - where is this located inside Celebration and will the shops and resturants be nuts?

We are planning on going on the 11th, not knowing about this fest. We wanted to have lunch at the Celebration Town Tavern. Should I think about changing my dates?

You should be okay for lunch...things get busier once the leaves start falling on into the evening.
