Snow for Long Island??

Anyone know the latest? I watched 3 channels this morning and got 5 forecasts Anywhere from 1-3 inches to 10-12 inches. I don't get news12 anymore so just wondered what the latest forecast is? maybe I should just head to Waldbaums and see how crowded it is..that'll tell me if we're suppossed to get a lot

All I know is accuweather is using words like "snowacane" and " paralyzing blizzard" for certain parts of NJ and NY and PA. I'm in NJ. Sounds like The Day After Tomorrow! lol

1010WINS says that LI is going to get 6-12 inches. Too much for me. We just about got rid of that last snow!

I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad. I mentioned on another thread that DH and I are going upstate this weekend to Cooperstown for his co-worker's wedding. We're leaving on Friday after rush hour (everyone knows how bad the LIE can get ). Accu-weather has already predicted a total accumulation of 30.4 inches by this weekend for Cooperstown DH has already decreed that we are taking a shovel with us.

i think it depends where on Long Island--Nassau is expected to get 6-12, western Suffolk--1-4 and eastern Suffolk only a trace or just rain. That was the last I heard.

From what I'm reading if you live in Nassau County you can expect the greatest accumulation. Western Suffolk is calling for up to 6". Eastern Suffolk is calling for rain. I guess its a fine line that we need to watch.

I am so done! My sons principal told the kids that if we get one more snow day this year they will get back all lost vacation days. So maybe one more and no more...

I could use some major sunshine right about now!

Anyone catch the latest? Rain till tonight, then the white stuff is supposed to start. City is getting up to 14" I believe, Nassua is up to 10" or so, Western Suffolk 4-7", and east end very little, mostly rain. It looks like I'm close to the rain/snow line, and I'm praying for rain!

I gave up watching 'STORM WATCH'! Lol, it seems to change every 5 minutes. I'm in Nassau ands last I heard was snow tonight, maybe 4-6 inches but that was ab hour ago so who knows. Honestly I'm kind of hoping we get enough so I can cancel my dentist appointment but have it be cleared up enough that I can go to Happy Hour
