snow.. depression

I hate cold, I hate snow, I hate that it gets dark early. Wake me up when spring is here! :teeth:

I use to feel that way when we lived in NJ but now living in PA, I'm actually looking forward to winter!

NJ the winters were so gray and dull, we'd get snow but it wasn't very often and it would get all dirty and nasty fast.

But where I live now it's so pretty, beautiful blue skies and snow flurries almost daily, I just love it. They keep the roads in great condition and since it's so cold and snows often, it stays so pretty. We're all getting snow snoes and ice skates this year for Christmas too.

I agree PinWiz....I've lived in texas most of my life and am so tired of sweating 9 months out of the year. Here we only have two seasons- slmost summer and so hot I'm melting summer. Give me snow anyday, all wrapped up in a cozy blanket in front of a fire watching the snow fall....sounds great!! anyone want to switch?
Yup, that's SE Florida. But I think there "almost summer" is only about 2 months.

Can anyone tell me how my gas fireplace works? :teeth: Getting that going would be great!!

Ski pass is bought
Ski's are tuned and waxed
New ski clothes

Bring On The Snow!!!!!!!!!:hyper:

if the snow would only stick to trees and grass, it would be perfect!!!

both my husband and I drive for a living and it's nervewrecking thinking about the other being on the road.

I love snow...when looking at it from inside my warm, cozy house. I hate the cold that goes with it. If I could have snow without the cold I'd be happy.

Driving on the snow wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the idiots who think they can drive 80 on the interstate during a snowstorm because they have an SUV or heavy truck. I can't tell you how many times I've been safely driving along the highway during a snowstorm, plugging along at a decent, but safe, speed and all of a sudden see huge headlights in the rear view mirror coming at me doing 80. So they whip into the fast lane to pass me then whip right in front of me then come upon a vehicle going slower then both of us and there's a semi in the fast lane and so they have to hit their brakes. So we're both hitting our brakes and sliding along the highway so we don't have a collision. Happens every single freaking year. Morons.

I've seen trucks fly past me and 10 minutes later they're in a ditch, waiting for a tow truck. As I drive by I just thank God I wasn't in his way when he hit the ditch.

Okay, I feel better now:hyper:

I hate snow, not looking forward to it at all

Me too! I'm okay with the sunny cold days but when we get into the -30 degrees-freeze-your-nose-hairs kind of cold I'm ready to be dropped off at the airport!! Although i'd rather drive in the snow than freezing rain,Yuck!

Yeah, if we got to stay wrapped up in a cozy blanket all winter I don't think I'd hate it as much as I do, but guess what? Ya still gotta live!! You gotta shovel it, drive in it, try to function in it and it sucks!!

Every year winter gets more and more depressing for me. It's grey, cloudy, dirty, the salt eats our cars, my hands crack and bleed as soon as it gets below 60 degrees.....can you tell I HATE WINTER?? :crazy2:

We just had 6 inches of snow yesterday and through the night!! Yikes...I hope this is not an indication of the winter to come!

Nope your not alone. I HATE the snow and winter weather. I mean hate it. I've mentioned to DH that I would like us to move to a warmer climate. People here in Michigan are hoping for a White Xmas. Not me. I can have sunshine & 80 degrees for Xmas. I don't need a white christmas. I also HATE driving in the snow & icy stuff. I'm dreading the winter weather. I pray it will be a mild winter.

I don't mind it, but it's mid-November. Winter should be three months long, then it should leave immediately and give the other seasons equal time.

::yes::

I'd just love to experience full blown snow sometime & be snowed in & sitting in front of the fire looking out at the beautiful white snow outside.............ahhhhhhhh how lovely that sounds.:D

It's no coincidence that "snow" is a 4 letter word beginning with 's.' Can you think of another one? I can.

Snow is bad.

I would be willing to house swap for a week as long as you promise me snow, and I can promise you palm trees in the backyard.

Sounds good to me::yes:: I can promise you snow with the added decent possibility of an ice storm, power outage, and more!! Of course, you'd probably have a tough time getting us to leave the palm trees at the end fo the week...
