Snow Days....Smow Days! I AM BACK 6/12

I just googled the new mugs and they are DARLING! The gang at the pool with Mickey sliding down the slide. Sooooo cute!

Lidian, I can definitely see where your hubs thinks they are a tad girly. The old ones were positively more manly. :lmao:

Haaaa!

Actually, Corinne, I thought you were the leader of the Strange Minds....:lmao:

Lidian - Corinne had told me you are the leader of the Evil Minds....:rotfl2:

I really have to see these mugs. The pink one sounds right up my alley!!:thumbsup2

Ah yes, that is right. I always get that mixed up.:lmao::rotfl:

So does that make you the leader of the crazy old ladies in the ECV's?:worship:

Glad to have found your PTR by way of mine! I hope you have a fabulous trip!

SEE!! He was actually upset over it! The man who whines that we have to go do to Disney every year ... UPSET over the color/design of the new mugs! :sad2: I wanted to say something to him about how much he doesn't care for Disney, but was afraid he'd retract our vacation. :lmao:

At least we can all lead something then. :rotfl2:

I went to go look into what the mugs looked like and found this.

I thought you would be intresting in seeing this, so like a good DISfriend I am sharring.:thumbsup2 (OK, I admite it, mom made me.:lmao:)

Sorry, didn't relize it was a April fools joke.

This was hilarious! I read it from Facebook on April 1 and thought "This is great!" at first and then the more I read things just seemed so wrong!! :lmao:

I have seen the new mugs on another thread though and they do look fun!

Okay, so lets see if I have this right.
You are Strange Minds
Lidian is Evil Minds

and I am Old Minds..... :lmao: I guess you could call me that. I usually just call myself Mush Mind these days.

What are you trying to do to me, Corinne? Give this OLD lady a heart attack? :rotfl2:I came across this, too, when I was searching for a pic of the mugs. Too bad they don't do something like this but I guess they would lose out on a lot of money that way.

Glad to have found your PTR by way of mine! I hope you have a fabulous trip!

So glad you stopped by. Hope you have a wonderful trip, too. Cannot wait to read your TR!!!! :cool1:

That is sooo funny that DH is upset over a mug. I totally think that proves he is LOVIN' Disney more than he is leading on. :thumbsup2 He probably just gets a kick out of making you think he doesn't like WDW. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I fell for it at first, too. They are SUPER cute mugs. I cannot wait to get one!

I'm excited about the new mugs too! I don't mind paying for another set, but we already have 2 sets of old mugs so pretty soon I am going to be out of room to store them all! The new ones are definitely my favorite though! I love the beach scene!

When I last left off I was getting ready to write about my last day at Disney, thus the last official posting on my PTR.

I'm almost too sad to even type this out. :sad2: I know this will be a bitter sweet day for us. We will be able to enjoy the kids favorite park, but also it will be our last day on Disney property. The last day always seems so surreal to me. I walk down Main Street looking over everything as if it will be my very last trip. I leave the parks with such a deep down sadness that my vacation is over and it is a very gloomy feeling. :sad1:

This is a brief list of our plans for Friday, June 3rd in Magic Kingdom:

We will get up pack our bags and leave them with the front desk, probaby eat breakfast in the room and then catch a bus to MK. We will spend the day doing all the things we didn't get to do on our other days.

I want to make sure we do Space Mountain (since it was closed for refurbishment on our '09 trip). Jay didn't get to ride this ride, so I am excited to see how he likes it. It makes me a little nervous, though, because all the seats are one in front of the other and if he gets nervous or scared....I won't be able to comfort him. :guilty: But, we talked it over with him and he wants to give it a try. I definitely want to take a few rides on PotC and do Philharmagic.
Jay wants to give Splash Mtn. another try, too. (with a little push from his parents ) Okay, maybe not, but he was only 3 on our last trip and this ride probably seemed a lot more scary to him at that age and size. So DH and I told him to give it one more try and if he absolutely doesn't like it, he won't have to ride it gain. (until next time we go :rolleyes1 - he doesn't know that rule, yet.)

We have ADR for Crystal Palace this day and I am sooo excited! I absolutely  this place. I always loved Pooh growing up, too, and Piglet is just too cute!

Here is a photo from our very first CP experience in 2007.

Kay with Pooh at CP, on our 2007 trip.

I am not sure how late we will stay at MK on our last day.

We are checking into a hotel off site, but still in Orlando, so we may stay until dark to see the fireworks! It is always so amazing. :wizard:

We are leaving the next morning to go on our second portion of our vacation. WHAT? I know, this is the very first time I am getting an actual 2 wk. vacation. DH thought it would be nice to go the beach after Disney and rest up....:rotfl2: Okay, maybe it was more like my idea since HE is the Drill Sargeant, but there was no objections. We will be spending 1 week in an ocean front condo on Fort Myers beach. So I am sad to be leaving WDW, but now I have a little something to look foward to instead of just a LONG drive home. :dance3:

Here's a few pics of the kiddos on the last day of our WDW vacations and in the car heading home. Beware the kids look very sad....:sad1: and totally worn out.

5 minutes later, Kay out like a light.

Our 2009 trip of leaving.

Jay totally worn out and sleeping like a log.

See, I told you DH was the Drill Sargeant. He wears the kids totally out! The only good thing about going home is the kids sleep most of the way home on that LONG drive and not so many, "Are we there yet?" inquiries.

So there is our one week PTR for WDW in a nutshell.

We will be leaving in 13 days (with one full day of travel) before we get to WDW. We are SOOOO excited! So 14 days until Disney!!! :woohoo:
Cannot wait to do the TR so I can re-live every moment of the upcoming vacation. I am going to try to take it all in (and bring a journal ) on this trip so I can share when we get back.

Less than 2 weeks! :cool1: Have you started packing??

I can't wait to read your TR when you get back!:goodvibes

I'm excited about the new mugs too! I don't mind paying for another set, but we already have 2 sets of old mugs so pretty soon I am going to be out of room to store them all! The new ones are definitely my favorite though! I love the beach scene!

This will be our 3rd set, too. I will soon have a whole 12 pack set of them. I really love the new ones, though!!!! Perfect to take to the beach with us after Disney! :cloud9:

I have a clothes basket sitting in my room full of all the clothes and items that I am bringing with us (it is overflowing). I need to sort everything out and begin packing soon. I am so fearful that I will leave something very important behind, so when I see something we need to bring I put in the basket. I need to do a packing list. I might just use yours....:thumbsup2, since it was SO detailed. That way I can reserve my brain power for other things. :rotfl2:

You are not alone sister, I cannot wait to read your TR either w/your sweet little babies experiences Disney for the first time. It will be so WONDERFUL!:banana::banana:

:dance3: Ahh! Your trip is so close!! I love all of your pictures from past trips

Yes, it so close now!!! I am very excited. It is all I can think about!!!:cool1:
Thanks for the compliment on the pics! :goodvibes I didn't realize that the one of Jay had so much drool around his mouth. (He will kill me when he is older for posting that...:lmao:) I guess he was really sleeping good. :rotfl2:

That's about the extent of my packing. Chaos in a few random bags. I've started packing for the girls, putting outfits in ziplock bags that are labeled for which day they're wearing them, but that's not finished yet because while they do have a lot of clothes, they don't have enough shorts to pack everything 2 weeks out  Feel free to use my list! it was adapted from a list I found on here (either the tip boards or the family boards), and then I added things as I read them here :) I don't think you'll forget anything if you use my list! :lmao:

Under 2 weeks to go - yay!!! I feel the same way as you on our last day in Disney. My DH is sad to go back to "the real world" too, but he tells me I always act as if this is the last time we are ever going to be at Disney, haha. Hopefully since you are going to the beach right after Disney that will make it a little easier to go. A 2 week vacation sounds awesome! I hope you have a great time and I can't wait to hear all about it!

You're trip is really getting close now:woohoo:
I know what you mean about leaving WDW, it is so sad. I was upset when we left the last time, but with a 4 day trip to get home we were still on vacation so we had a buffer before getting back into the 'real world', which helped a bit.

sahm2two...I love the idea of ziploc bags with clothes for certain days, that would work well for my boys I do believe. I think I'll give it a try:thumbsup2

Something else I learned from DIS :goodvibes I thought it would work well for us because I am trying to coordinate certain days (the Tangled shirts to be worn on MK days, etc), and this way I can keep it all organized and it'll be easy for DH to get the girls dressed without me having to dig through suitcases to pick their outfits out first ;)

I totally do this! I place the kids clothes into large ziplocs by outfit and label them by park - so they match whatever park they are visiting. :goodvibes

TK, I absolutely LOVE  LOVE the pictures!

I don't think I could get DS on Space Mtn. DD rode last year, but I was worried about her as well, since she would be sitting in front of me. I like to verify she's restrained properly, and I wasn't able to do that. I know I looked like a crazy mom asking the CM's "Is she secured??!! Are you sure??!! ARE YOU POSITIVE?!?!?!?!" I was afraid she'd fall out and I'd never know! :sad2:

DS is not a very adventurous rider ... but DD is my coaster buddy. It took her doing the simulator at DQ to get her on a coaster, but it was well worth it. :goodvibes

In your 2009 pic, Jay looks soooo mad. :lmao::rotfl2: I just love it! :lovestruc And when he went out, all the drool, how cute!!!! This one needs to be framed and hung so when he grows up, all his friends (and girlfriends) will see it. :rotfl: Yes, I'm horrible and a bad influence. :maleficen

Not looking forward to our trips to be over with, but looking forward to your TR! You have to at least appease me a little bith with FB updates! :worship:

I have to agree with everyone else that the pic of your DS with the drool hanging from him mouth is just priceless.:lmao:

I definatly use the ziplock baggie system to pack my sons cloths. Since my cloths are to big to put in them, I pack the shirt with the pair of shorts I want to wear them with. That way I don't have to think about it when I am at Disney World.:thumbsup2

I guess I am lucky that Liam small for his age. Since he still fits in his shorts from last year I was able to buy just a couple and were able to pack them for our trip with out having to worry about him needing them later. I bought new underwear and socks for him so I could pack them to. (you never have enough of them)

I don't even pack my outfits like that ... and I stand there every morning while at WDW going "What should I wear today, honey?" I'm just as bad there as I am at home. :lmao::rotfl2:

I also bought new undies & socks. DD definitely needed them, but DS was still okay. But it was nice to be able to pack and forget about them and not have to worry about laundry at the last minute. :thumbsup2

Your kiddos sleeping on the ride home is hilarious. And, you have future "black mail" material, too! Ha!

We'll be at the MK on June 3rd, too. We have a Wishes dessert party ressie, and then we plan on staying for EMH that night (morning is devoted to AK and the Wild Africa Trek, then nap time, then arrive at MK after dinner for dessert party and EMH).

I can't believe we only have 11 days!!!!!
